Duties Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately to inform care plans. Assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and facility protocols, ensuring safety and compliance at all times. Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning patient areas, laundry, and organizing personal belongings. Facilitate effective communication with clients in both English and Spanish to ensure understanding of care procedures, preferences, and concerns. Support residents’ rights by respecting their autonomy, dignity, and cultural backgrounds while providing compassionate care tailored to individual needs. Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities. Familiarity with patient observation techniques, patient monitoring tools, and developing or following detailed care plans. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques; experience with Hoyer lifts is preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to healthcare or caregiving are advantageous. Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish; ability to effectively engage with diverse populations. Understanding of resident’s rights, HIPAA privacy regulations, and home & community care standards.     Oral Surgery Dental Assistant – Join a Growing Long Island Practice! Are you an experienced Dental Assistant looking to take your skills to the next level? We're hiring an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant for a well-established oral surgery group with 5 convenient Long Island locations: Westbury, Huntington, Franklin Square, Syosset, and Great Neck. What You'll Do: As part of a skilled surgical team, you'll assist oral surgeons with a variety of procedures including extractions, dental implant placements, and biopsies. You'll monitor patients under IV sedation and general anesthesia, prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms according to strict infection control protocols, and take digital radiographs, panoramic x-rays, and CBCT 3D scans. You'll also provide compassionate pre- and post-operative care, helping patients feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.
