Key Responsibilities: • Greet customers and provide a welcoming, high-quality service experience, • Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on lifestyle and prescription, • Take accurate measurements for proper lens and frame fitting, • Perform adjustments and minor repairs on eyewear, • Educate patients on lens types, coatings, and care, • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals Qualifications: • Prior optical or retail sales experience preferred, • Knowledgable on Lensometry, • ABO certification is a plus but not required, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Strong attention to detail and fashion sense, • Ability to multitask, • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills

    A family practice office in Valley Stream is looking for an experienced medical assistant to help with patient care and the day-to-day running of the office. This full-time position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, as well as a pension plan and paid vacation. Responsibilities include: Triaging patients. Measuring and recording patients' vital signs. Performing certain diagnostic tests (such as EKG, spirometry, Audiometry, etc.) and assisting the physician with certain medical procedures, as needed. Collecting, labeling and routing specimens according to standard procedures. Preparing patient records prior to visit by ensuring that required lab results and documentation are entered in the medical record for the physician's review. Performing a variety of front office duties such as verifying health insurance benefits, acquiring prior authorizations, scheduling patient visits and answering phones. Maintaining the orderliness of the office by stocking cupboards and monitoring supplies. Performing and documenting calibration of laboratory equipment when needed. Qualifications: Successful completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants. Certification or registration with the American Association of Medical Assistants preferred. At least one year experience as a medical assistant in a medical office. Familiarity with computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite. Good reading, writing and communication skills. Spanish language proficiency is a plus. The right candidate will be trained on the use of our office EMR (Electronic Medical Records) System. Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
