The RN will be based in the Cancer Center at Mount Sinai Hospital and care for adult oncology patients, including BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) and CAR-T therapy patients. The RN must possess strong oncology skills and familiarity with chemotherapy protocols. Assignments are managed under a modified primary nursing model. This position involves active collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and a focus on Mount Sinai’s Relationship-Centered Care (MSHRCC) model to enhance patient outcomes and experience. Licensure: • Minimum 2 years RN experience – Required, • Minimum 2 years Oncology/Chemo experience – Required, • BMT/CAR-T experience – Required, • EPIC charting experience – Highly Preferred, • BSN – Required, • ASN accepted only with relevant experience and/or active BSN program enrollment, • BLS (AHA) – Required, • ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – Preferred, • Administration of chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunotherapy, • Management of oncology emergencies (e.g., tumor lysis syndrome, neutropenic fever), • Bone Marrow Transplant and CAR-T therapy care, • Central line care and maintenance, • Pain and symptom management in oncology patients, • Safe handling of hazardous medications, • Patient and caregiver education and emotional support, • Interdisciplinary care planning and coordination, • Accurate and compliant documentation, • Charge RN responsibilities (as assigned), • Participation in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, • Active engagement in patient throughput and discharge planning, • Unit: Oncology – Cancer Center, • Unit Beds: 36, • Daily Census: Avg. 35.1, • Patient Age Groups: Adults, • Patient Ratios: Variable, per acuity and unit standards HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
