American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in New York, New York. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CT Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 01/12/2026, • Duration: 8 weeks, • 38 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, evenings, • Work in a specialty orthopedic hospital setting with rotation across multiple departments and a private sector location, • Caseload includes up to 20 patients daily, serving pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, • Perform both CT scans and X-rays, including portables, covering exam room and outpatient/inpatient environments as well as ER and Adult ICU, • CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction, • X-ray procedures involve extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, lower and upper extremities, • Uses Siemens imaging equipment, • EMR system is Epic (Epic experience preferred), • Schedule is 4x9.5 hour evening shifts (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 2:30 PM to Midnight) with a 30-minute lunch, • First 2 weeks consist of Tuesday–Friday training from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM before transitioning to the regular schedule, • Role includes both CT and X-ray responsibilities, often in a high-acuity orthopedic environment, • Candidates may be rotated across departments or into a private practice location, • First-time travelers are accepted, • COVID vaccination is required with no exceptions, • Charcoal grey scrubs are to be worn, • Up to 5 days of RTO allowed, but no RTO permitted in the first 2 weeks of assignment, • Returning travelers must have at least a 1-year break since their last assignment, • Free employee garage parking is provided upon badge pick-up, with additional street parking available, • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate\n \n Requirements\n, • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or orthopedic setting, • Active NYS license required at time of consideration, • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification required, • BLS certification required, • IV Certification required, • Experience operating Siemens imaging equipment, • Ability to lift, push, pull or move patients and equipment weighing over 150 lbs with or without assistive devices\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
