Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Location: New York, NY 10037 Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Nights | 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM Pay Rate: $55 – $60 per hour Job Summary: "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have recent Med/Surg experience and a strong background in post-operative care, medication administration, and patient education. Key Responsibilities: * Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. * Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients. * Administer medications safely and accurately, and document accordingly. * Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and manage specialized medical equipment. * Monitor patients’ vital signs and promptly report any adverse reactions or changes in condition. * Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning. * Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, recovery, and post-care instructions. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient files, medical charts, and health records. * Adhere to nursing best practices, standards, and protocols. Required Skills & Experience: * Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital; experience must be within the last year. * Strong skills in physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and post-operative care. * Experience with patient education and telemetry monitoring. Preferred Skills: * Experience with EPIC EMR. Education: * Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
