Job Description About the Role We are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Professional to join our team for the 2026 tax season (January through April/May). This role focuses on individual federal tax return preparation and review (Form 1040 and related schedules). You'll work with a variety of clients—ranging from W-2 employees to high-net-worth individuals, some with complex income streams, investments, and deductions. PT after May is possible for the right candidate. Ideal for someone looking to work FT for a few weeks and PT thereafter, or perhaps tax season only. Tax season is 7 days a week, plenty of time to get your hours in, even if eves and weekends. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review U.S. individual federal tax returns (Form 1040), • Handle schedules such as A, B, C, D, E, and related forms (e.g., 8863, 8889, 8960, 2210), • Conduct client interviews and follow-ups as needed, • Ensure accurate and timely filings in accordance with IRS regulations, • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data, • Communicate tax positions clearly to clients and internal team members Qualifications • Minimum 5+ years experience in personal tax preparation, • Proficiency in federal tax law and current IRS codes, • Strong experience with lacerte, • CPA or EA designation preferred but not required, • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and client-service focused, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to work independently and manage multiple returns simultaneously Perks • Flexible scheduling with core hour expectations, • Supportive team environmentCompany DescriptionWe are a growing, client-focused CPA firm known for personalized service, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
