POSITION SUMMARY The Joe & The Juice Team is looking for a highly motivated, skilled tax professional to join our in-house tax team. Based in New York City, this role will report into the Senior Manager, Tax, in Copenhagen. The Manager of Tax will be a key member of the tax team, responsible for the day-to-day operations, including the accuracy and timeliness of compliance and tax reporting matters. This position will support direct and indirect tax compliance and tax accounting matters for Joe & The Juice's US and global operations. The role will partner with Accounting and Finance stakeholders to support them with all tax related matters. The role interfaces with partners across the organization, including the Accounting, Treasury, HR, Finance, Real estate & Growth and Legal teams to optimize existing processes, solve business challenges, design new workflows, and implement new technology solutions to drive efficient and accurate reporting. You will be responsible for strengthening relationships with third party advisors. You will be a critical member in the development of an adaptive Tax department that continues to scale to support Joe & The Juice's growth goals. Primary responsibilities include: • Manage U.S. federal, state and local, and foreign income tax return filings with third party service providers;, • Manage sales and use tax filings, including future registrations;, • Evaluate sales taxability of Joe & the Juice products based on applicable state and local regulations;, • Manage annual extension process, including remittance of payments;, • Maintain documentation of ASC 740 tax positions;, • Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A departments on tax reporting matters;, • Partner with Accounting to ensure transfer pricing agreements are adhered to and appropriately recorded;, • Develop strong relationships and collaboration with the Real Estate & Growth team and build out process for entering new states for tax compliance;, • Partner with Legal to support the drafting and submission of voluntary disclosure agreements;, • Ensure accurate, timely filing of all business-related filings, including franchise, property and commercial rent tax returns;, • Manage inquiries from government authorities, including notice resolution and audits;, • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects of these developments;, • Understand and conduct research on tax issues to support inquires from the business;, • Maintain control environment by adhering to requirements and updating documentation;, • Develop strong relationships with Accounting department to maximize opportunities for automation of data and ensure completeness, accuracy, and efficiency;, • Identify and implement technological and procedural improvements with a strong commitment to detail;, • Provide ad hoc support on various projects; EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION • 4-6 years working in the corporate tax function and/or a public accounting/tax advisory firm, exposure to international tax or multi-jurisdictional compliance preferred.;, • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field;, • CPA required; MBA or JD with tax concentration a plus;, • Excellent project management skills with proactive approach towards driving quality results;, • Significant experience in ASC 740 and tax related financial reporting;, • Exposure to global transfer pricing rules and regulations are preferred;, • Experience with tax provisioning software and Avalara is a plus, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and articulate complex information;, • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment with small team., • Compensation- $130,000- $150,000 Joe & the Juice is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We have the gallery. We have the artists. We have the exhibitions and artwork. We need buyers. This is a sales and business-development position. Your primary responsibility will be identifying potential buyers, developing relationships, generating qualified leads, and ultimately helping sell artwork. What You’ll Do • Research and identify potential art buyers and commercial clients, • Make outbound calls and emails to qualified prospects, • Build relationships with interior designers, art consultants, architects, hotels, restaurants, developers, hospitality groups, offices, retailers and other businesses purchasing art, • Identify and develop prospective private collectors, • Follow up with qualified gallery visitors and sales inquiries, • Maintain an organized database/CRM of prospects and conversations, • Send artwork information, catalogs and pricing to interested buyers, • Schedule gallery appointments with qualified prospects, • Consistently follow up with leads, • Develop new B2B accounts and long-term client relationships, • Work directly with the Gallery Director to understand available artwork and identify appropriate buyers What This Role Is NOT This is not a curatorial position. Your focus is the other side of the gallery: finding the people who buy the art. Who We’re Looking For You do not necessarily need traditional gallery experience. We are interested in someone who is: • Comfortable making outbound calls, • Persistent without being aggressive, • Personable and professional, • Organized with follow-up, • Comfortable speaking with business owners and design professionals, • Interested in contemporary art and photography, • Entrepreneurial, • Excited by building something at an early stage, • Motivated by sales and measurable results Experience in sales, business development, luxury retail, hospitality, interior design, real estate, art sales or client relations is especially valuable. Compensation This is an early-stage, commission-based opportunity. The gallery is currently in its startup/growth stage and cannot offer a traditional salary at this time. Compensation is tied directly to sales and accounts generated by the associate, with uncapped commission potential. We are looking for someone who understands the nature of joining a young business early and is interested in helping build its commercial operation. JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ Objective East Side House (ESH) provides high-quality, year-round programming in NYCHA community centers and public schools, serving youth and families through education, workforce readiness, recreation, and community engagement. Reporting to the Senior and/or Department Director, the Program Director oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division. This includes daily operations, staff management, compliance, and creating safe, inclusive, and responsive environments that promote positive outcomes. As a member of the Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division, the Program Director is expected to lead dynamic, age-appropriate programming for Elementary age participants and community members. This role includes direct supervision of the Assistant Program Director, Group Leaders, Activity Specialist, and other frontline staff. It requires regular collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, IT, and other East Side House departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Senior Director and /or Department Director, the Program Director will: • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of youth and adult programs, including evenings, weekends, and summer., • Recruit, hire, schedule, onboard, and supervise full-time and part-time staff., • Monitor performance and ensure compliance with DYCD goals, quality standards, and contractual requirements., • Conduct staff evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and lead monthly professional development and team meetings., • Oversee the design and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate programming focused on academics, recreation, workforce readiness, and cultural enrichment., • Ensure compliance with DOH School-Aged Child Care and Summer Day regulations, including quarterly inspections., • Train staff on safety protocols and ensure emergency preparedness., • Track attendance and maintain accurate records using DYCD Connect and internal systems., • Manage CACFP Food Program compliance and documentation., • Serve as the main point of contact for NYCHA, DYCD, schools, families, and community partners., • Build relationships with residents, tenant associations, youth councils, and community stakeholders., • Conduct quarterly community assessments and incorporate participant feedback into program planning., • Plan and execute four community events and a series of family workshops annually., • Cultivate at least three new partnerships each year to expand program offerings., • Manage the program budget, process purchase orders, and submit reports on time., • Represent the program in required meetings and maintain regular communication with NYCHA and DYCD., • Collaborate with ESH colleagues to coordinate events, share best practices, and support agency-wide initiatives., • Perform other duties as assigned.
