Job Description CULINARY OUTREACH COORDINATOR We are excited to invite a passionate and driven Culinary Outreach Coordinator to join our team! Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for a dedicated Culinary Outreach Coordinator for our Families w/ Children facility in the Soundview area of the Bronx. In this role, you will support the facility’s Culinary Program by recruiting students to participate in HFH’s culinary courses. The position plays a key role in advancing our mission to raise awareness about the benefits of culinary education while strengthening recognition of HFH as a leading center for culinary training. ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS: Homes for the Homeless operates shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC. Our family residences are more than just a place to sleep. Families can make the most of their stay through accessing an array of onsite programs. Many of these programs are also available to people living in the local community. Our goal is to have a positive impact so families can thrive long after they leave our shelters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance of the Director of Culinary Education, the Culinary Outreach Coordinator principal responsibilities include: • Conduct outreach to individuals and organizations to strengthen recruitment for HFH Culinary programs., • Track and analyze recruitment activities (e.g., outreach campaigns) toidentifythe most effective strategies., • Manage the pipeline of prospective students for HFH Culinary programs, from application through enrollment, including the coordination of waivers and compliance documentation., • Screen prospective students using established criteria to assess program readiness and eligibility., • Ensure all application materials are complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner., • Support job placement efforts for graduates of the HFH Culinary programs., • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s/Associate’s Degree preferred., • Strong relationship building and networking skills., • Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel., • General understanding of the food industry., • Local applicants encouraged to apply!
