We’re on the lookout for an experienced Material Handler II/Driver to join our dynamic team as we continue to grow. Job Summary: As a Materials Handler II, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that is center stage in our warehouse operations. The Material Handler II role involves expertly loading and unloading material, utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and other equipment to ensure smooth movement of goods both to and from our trucks, as well as within our warehouse. You’ll also keep track of inventory flow and handle reporting on product movement. As a Driver you’ll play a crucial role in the safe loading, unloading, transportation and delivery of our natural stone products, ensuring deliveries arrive to our clients on time and in perfect condition. You must be reliable, focused on customer satisfaction and liaising with various functional areas of the business. Reliability and a strong focus on customer satisfaction are critical attributes to be successful in this role, as you'll be collaborating with various departments to create a seamless experience for our clients. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: • Works under moderate supervision of Warehouse Supervisor, • Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, • Utilize forklift, hoists or other handling equipment to move stone slabs & crates, • Perform a variety of warehouse duties such as: pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness., • Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims., • Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, etc., • Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management., • May be required to offload and reload the photo station with materials, • This position may be included in the photo station rotation, • Drive a truck under 26,000 pounds (flat bed, single axel), • Follow strict safety standards on and off the road, • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License & clean driving record, • Ability to use navigation tools, • Ability to plan delivery routes, • Responsible for all paperwork and required signatures (packing slips), • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision, • Forklift experience and certification (preferred), • Experience working in the Natural Stone industry (preferred), • Ability to work on a rotating Saturday shift (preferred), • Ability to work well with other employees in the warehouse and administrative offices, • Ability to remain courteous and professional at all times, • Must be able to pass a Drug Test and DOT, • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills., • A valid and clean driver's license is required, • Knowledge of commonly used practices & procedures within the stone industry, • Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job., • Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job, • Gains or has attained full proficiency in the stone industry, • 1-3 years of related experience, • Ability to work as a team with co-workers, • Forklift experience with certificate (preferred), • Basic math skills, • Attention to detail, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Regularly required to stand, use hands and reach with hands and arms, • Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulder level, fine finger dexterity, • May be required sometimes to sit, climb or balance, • Lift and or move up to 80 pounds regularly, • Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather, • Required vision abilities: peripheral, and ability to adjust focus, • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, • Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles and wide range of temperatures Salary range $18 - $23. Compensation will be aligned with your expertise and experience. Salary will be determined based on a candidate's skills, education, and relevant work experience.
