Job Description DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS Reports to: Group General Manager / COO Location: Superior, CO Employment Status: Full-Time (Onsite) Salary range: Up to $165K salary based on experience Travel Requirement: Limited travel initially; will increase over time Role Overview The Director of Operations is a senior execution leader responsible for end-to-end operational performance across Magswitch’s Americas business, with scope expanding globally as the role matures. This is a newly created role designed to provide strong day-to-day operational leadership and oversight across manufacturing operations interfaces, supply chain, warehousing, field service, installations, and cost control—allowing the COO to remain focused on global strategy, growth, and integration. This role sits at the center of the business, connecting Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Global Manufacturing to ensure products are available, projects are executed effectively, costs are controlled, and customers experience reliable, professional delivery. While the role begins with a primary focus on the U.S. and the Americas, it is intentionally designed to scale across subsidiaries and regions as the individual comes up to speed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, disciplined operator who is comfortable operating in a growing, multi-entity, multi-country environment and who can bring structure, accountability, and operational rigor without slowing momentum. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Leadership & Execution • Own day-to-day operational execution across the Americas, ensuring alignment with company strategy, growth plans, and financial targets., • Act as the primary operational counterpart to the COO, translating strategic priorities into executable plans, milestones, and results., • Drive consistency, accountability, and operational discipline across manufacturing interfaces, logistics, field service, and project execution., • Build scalable operating rhythms, KPIs, and management cadences across teams and functions. Supply Chain, Inventory & Warehousing • Lead supply chain execution including demand planning, inventory management, inbound logistics, warehousing, and outbound fulfillment., • Own inventory forecasting, deployment, and working capital performance in close coordination with Sales and Finance., • Ensure accurate landed cost visibility including freight, duties, tariffs, and transfer pricing impacts., • Drive improvements in inventory turns, service levels, fill rates, and lead times while maintaining appropriate buffers for growth., • Oversee warehouse operations and material flow to support both standard product shipments and project-based HLS installations. Global Manufacturing & Vendor Interface • Serve as the primary Americas operations interface to global manufacturing partners and suppliers., • Support production planning, capacity alignment, quality, and cost transparency in coordination with Procurement and Engineering., • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including tariffs, logistics disruptions, and supplier dependencies., • Support sourcing strategies and operational readiness for new products and new markets. Field Service, Installations & Project Oversight (HLS) • Provide operational leadership and oversight of Field Service and Heavy Lifting Systems installation activities., • Ensure HLS and Automation projects are properly scoped, planned, executed, and closed out to support customer satisfaction and revenue recognition., • Standardize installation processes, job costing, reporting, and post-install documentation., • Partner with Sales and Engineering to improve pre-sale feasibility, installation planning, and handoffs., • Support the development of scalable service, maintenance, and post-installation support offerings over time. Cost Control & Operational Finance Partnership • Partner closely with Finance to drive cost control, margin visibility, and operational accountability., • Ensure operational data supports accurate forecasting, project costing, and financial reporting., • Actively manage operational drivers of EBITDA including freight, inventory, rework, installation efficiency, and warranty exposure. Systems, Data & Process Enablement • Own operational processes supported by ERP and related systems, with NetSuite as the system of record., • Partner with IT and Finance to improve data integrity, reporting, and end-to-end visibility from order intake through delivery and installation., • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and clarity rather than system complexity. Team Leadership & Development • Directly manage and develop leaders across supply chain, warehousing, and field service functions., • Build a strong culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement., • Ensure teams are structured and resourced appropriately to support growth while remaining cost disciplined. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical or industrial discipline required, An advanced degree preferred., • Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience in industrial, engineered products, automation, or manufacturing-adjacent businesses., • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional operations spanning supply chain, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and field service or project-based execution., • Proven experience working with overseas manufacturing partners and/or multi-site assembly environments within multi-entity, multi-country organizations., • Strong ERP-driven operations experience required, NetSuite experience highly preferred. Experience working with CRM and order management systems is a plus., • Track record of driving operational discipline, cost control, and continuous improvement while supporting revenue growth and customer-facing execution., • Experience overseeing installation, field service, or complex customer delivery environments strongly preferred., • Experience supporting or scaling assembly, kitting, or light manufacturing operations for engineered products is a plus., • Professional certifications such as APICS/ASCM (CPIM or CSCP), Lean Six Sigma, or PMP are a plus but not required., • Hands-on leadership style with strong business judgment, communication skills, and the ability to influence across Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Operations., • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving priorities and increasing global scope.
