Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Employer: Pride Health Contract Type: 13 Weeks Start Date: September 30, 2025 Openings: 1 Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Pay Rate: $72/hr (Travel) | $66.00/hr (Local) Position Overview Pride Health is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity. The RN will provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. This role requires strong critical thinking, excellent clinical judgment, and recent experience in Labor & Delivery. Schedule & Coverage • Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), • Every other weekend required (8 weekend shifts per contract), • On-call: 24 hours per 4-week period, • Orientation provided (36 hours), • Pre-approved time off: 1 request Qualifications • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience, • Patient Ratios: 1:2 (days, nights, weekends), • Travel Experience: Not required, • Charting System: Epic (required), • Preferred Experience: Teaching hospital or community hospital background Licensure & Certifications -License: Active New Jersey RN License or Compact State RN License (multistate privilege) required -Required: • BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA required; RQI and AHA Instructor cards acceptable), • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program, • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support, • Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider – Must be issued by the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Core Skills • Labor & Delivery Management: vaginal delivery assistance, labor monitoring, amnioinfusion, C-section recovery, hemorrhage/shock response, • Obstetric Triage: sterile vaginal exams, NST, EFM, reflex/edema assessments, magnesium sulfate therapy, • Neonatal Care: APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, cord sample collection, radiant warmer use, • Postpartum Care: breastfeeding/lactation support, Foley care, wound/incision care, fundal/lochia assessments, couplet care, postpartum hemorrhage management, • Medication Management: Pitocin, prostaglandins, terbutaline, anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, • Surgical Procedures (preferred): C-section scrub/circulate, D&C, cervical cerclage, tubal ligation Unit & Support Details • Patient Population: Adults, 32 weeks of gestation and above, • Average Census: ~5 patients daily, • Unit Size: 9 beds, 8 rooms, • Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Transport, Phlebotomy, Interpreter Services, • Special Areas/Procedures: OB Triage, Antepartum, Delivery, OR, PACU, • Equipment: Novii ✨ Why Pride Health? • Flexible contract opportunities, • Competitive pay rates, • Supportive recruiters who advocate for you every step of the way, • Access to diverse clinical experiences Pride Health offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
