Job Description Position Summary The Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health Manager plays a key role in keeping our workforce safe and healthy. Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, this role leads exposure-control programs, evaluates workplace risks, and partners closely with operations to build a strong, proactive safety culture. You’ll work hands-on across the plant environment, identifying hazards, recommending controls, and ensuring we meet all regulatory requirements. What You’ll Do Lead Safety and Hygiene Programs • Manage air quality, noise, chemical, dust, and ergonomic monitoring programs, • Develop and update policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, and state requirements, • Oversee sampling, data reviews, and reporting Improve Workplace Conditions • Identify hazards and develop engineering, administrative, and PPE solutions, • Lead ventilation and air-handling reviews, • Support chemical hygiene, noise control, and respiratory protection initiatives Monitor, Report, and Train • Implement systems to track exposures and trends, • Provide clear reports and recommendations to leadership, • Deliver training that builds awareness and strengthens safe work practices Partner Across the Plant • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for department leaders, • Coordinate with external providers, vendors, and regulatory partners, • Model our values and help drive a strong, consistent safety culture Manage Occupational Health Programs • Oversee medical surveillance, audiometric testing, respirator fit testing, and exposure screenings, • Coordinate with occupational health clinics and maintain required medical records, • Support return-to-work, fit-for-duty, and health-related assessments What You Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental/Occupational Health, or related field, • CIH certification or willingness to obtain, • 5+ years experience in manufacturing, recycling, chemical processing, or similar environments, • Strong knowledge of OSHA/NIOSH/ACGIH/EPA standards, • Skilled in sampling equipment, data interpretation, and reporting, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • Medically fit for a plant environment Preferred Qualities • Team-oriented and collaborative, • Clear communicator who can coach and influence, • Organized, analytical, and solutions-driven, • Monday through Friday, • Fully onsite role/ Flexibility that works Powered by JazzHR V9MA4otXSg
