Duties and Responsibilities The general duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Lab Technician include but are not limited to the following: • Perform sample withdrawal for all incoming raw materials, packing materials including but not limited to receipt, logging distribution and destruction., • Update all sample information in SAP as per company procedures., • Complete data entry as required., • Oversee temperature and humidity monitoring for retention and sample storage rooms., • Conduct sample loading in stability chambers and submitting stability samples as per schedule., • Sampling of the materials received at Invagen Warehouse locations for laboratory testing purposes as per the established sampling procedures., • Assist in the shipment of the samples to contract labs as required, • Provide general housekeeping in the QC lab and any other functional activity as assigned by management., • Maintaining and updating the retention rooms of raw materials as required., • Other duties as assigned. JOB SUMMARY Assist in the chemical testing of food products, ingredients, and other matrices with primary functions in solution and reagent preparation, sample homogenization, proximate analysis chemistry instrument use (balance, oven, furnace, and extractors), chemistry extractions and procedures, and glassware maintenance. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare and maintain chemical solutions, • Apply standard laboratory techniques in daily workload, • Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements, • Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal, • Independently pursue an assigned series of processes, procedures, or techniques in accordance with FSNS policies/procedures and customer requirements, • Maintain laboratory conditions, to include equipment, supplies, quality assurance programs, and accurate records throughout all procedures, • Perform all activities in safe, hygienic, and efficient manner, • Share information in an open, and timely manner, • Maintain lab workspaces in a clean and organized manner at all times, • Assisting with managing priorities and schedule such that individual goals as well as team goals are achieved with encouraged participation in the Food Safety Net Services Team, • Responsible for the safety of oneself and others working within their area, • Responsible for the completion of required training MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • High School diploma or GED, • Associate degree in Life Science or two years of laboratory experience, • Training in general laboratory practices preferred, • One or more years’ experience in a commercial food-testing laboratory preferred, • Working knowledge of aseptic sampling technique, automated lab equipment, and acceptable methods and procedures, • Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of a food testing laboratory, • BS degree in Life Science or related field preferred, • Ability to travel is preferred, • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components, • Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens, • Noise level varies from quiet to loud, • Temperature varies from hot to cold, • Color vision and depth perception, • Interactive and fast-paced team oriented tasks, • Overnight Travel may be required at the discretion of management, • Progressive 401k Retirement Savings Plan, • Employer Paid Short- Term and Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance, • Group Medical, • Tuition Reimbursement, • Flexible Spending Accounts, • Dental, • Paid Holidays and Time Off Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with weekends required as needed

Job Description: Responsible for performing inspections of purchased and/or in-house machined parts, units, materials, equipment, all level assemblies, and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, BOM’s, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems of in process and final assemblies. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. Essential Functions: • Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance to drawings, customer specifications and workmanship standards., • Ability of using precision measurement instruments such as a caliper, micrometer, and applicable gages., • Knowledge and understanding of different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.)., • Knowledge and understanding of tolerances on blueprint drawings., • Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs., • Visual inspection for workmanship and print compliance using a microscope., • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or 2-year post-secondary/Associate degree with 0-2 year’s relevant experience., • Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement., • Follows established processes to complete tasks.
