Job DescriptionTitle: Chemist Reports to: Director of Color & Innovation Department: R&D - Color Responsibility Summary: The Chemist will be responsible for analyzing batches, measuring physical parameters such as Viscosity, pH, and Density, interacting with vendors, documenting, collaborating with supervisor, and entering formulation. Responsibilities: The Chemist is responsible for supporting the company's business events through a variety of tasks, including: • Maintain a lab note book., • Make batches., • Create ingredient qualitative and quantitative list., • Check next day specification from previous day batch., • Follow up with on-going stabilities., • Communicate with raw material vendors., • Attend in-house vendor presentations., • Enter formulation into the company formulator., • Review results with supervisor., • Analyze lab batch measuring physical parameters: Viscosity, pH, and Density., • Assist in the formulation and development of innovative skin care and color cosmetic products, including line extensions and product improvements., • Support in color matching and formulation adjustments., • Support compliance with color regulations and internal quality standards., • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (or Biology that has had chemistry and organic chemistry classes)., • 2- 5 years of experience in R&D, formulation, emulsions, and other forms of color product formulations., • Well organized and highly detail oriented., • Must work well with others and communicate effectively., • Strong understanding of cosmetic raw materials, formulation principles, production equipment., • Strong color matching skills., • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, • PTO, • Special Paid Leave for employees’ personal events, • Company Paid Holidays, • 401(k) employer match As9zTT4HPe

The company is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic candidate for a SENIOR CHEMIST. The candidate must be a proactive, hands-on, team player. Position provides high level of autonomy. The responsibilities include formulation development, performing analytical testing of incoming raw materials/ in-process production and managing regulatory disinfectants documentation. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm Sr. Chemist’s Essential Job Functions: • Perform daily testing using wet chemical and instrumental techniques, • Formulating new products., • Maintain and record analytical data, • Prepare various laboratory reagents as required for daily operations, • Provides instruction and basic training to lab technicians, • Occasionally visit the plant to confirm processing results, • Maintain regulatory database., • Occasional filling in for second shift when others go on vacation. Required Knowledge: • Must be proficient in common PC functions, Word, Excel, etc., • Must be well organized and detail oriented. Must have an eye for written detail., • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, • Must be knowledgeable in basic laboratory reagent preparation, labeling and handling, • Proficient in common laboratory techniques and instrumentation, • Competent in performing mathematical and scientific calculations, • Industry knowledge: CPG detergents or Personal Care., • Any regulatory experience is a plus. Minimum Qualifications: • BS degree in Chemistry. MS preferred., • Experience: 8-10 years of experience., • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality control., • High level math skills. Physical Demands: • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand (for extended periods), stoop, bend, walk and use hands to handle objects, tools and controls, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee will be required to handle chemicals and solvents as required during course of job execution. Employee may be required to move or lift objects up to 15 lbs. Job Type: Full-time Pay: Commensurate with experience. Approximate Range: $80k - $95k. Bonus eligibility.
