Note: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field and at least 3 years of public accounting tax experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns. Job Description • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, corporations, trusts, and exempt organizations., • Review bookkeeping records, financial statements, general ledgers, and trial balances to ensure tax readiness., • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax returns, missing information, notices, and planning opportunities., • Research tax issues and apply federal and state tax regulations to client situations., • Assist with estimated tax payments, extensions, and compliance requirements., • Respond to IRS and state tax notices and support examinations when needed., • Collaborate with accounting and bookkeeping teams to ensure accurate reporting., • Support tax planning projects and advisory engagements., • Maintain organized workpapers and documentation., • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field., • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience., • Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 returns., • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance., • Experience reviewing financial statements and bookkeeping records., • Strong organizational and client communication skills., • Proficiency with Excel, QuickBooks, and tax software., • CPA or Enrolled Agent license preferred., • Spanish fluency preferred.
