Job DescriptionJob Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description The Mechanical Assembler builds products and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. This role follows detailed work instructions and blueprints, performs quality checks, and supports daily production goals while maintaining a safe and organized work area. Responsibilities • Assemble mechanical components, products, and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools according to specifications and production requirements., • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and written instructions to ensure accurate and consistent assembly., • Measure materials and components accurately using a tape measure to meet dimensional and quality requirements., • Inspect finished parts and assemblies to verify they meet quality standards and company specifications., • Operate drills, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and other production tools and equipment safely and effectively., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following all safety guidelines and housekeeping standards., • Support and meet daily production goals by working efficiently and maintaining steady output., • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve assembly issues and suggest improvements to processes., • Perform repetitive tasks, including standing, lifting, bending, and handling components throughout the shift., • Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.Essential Skills, • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a production environment., • Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions., • Proficiency in using a tape measure and performing accurate measurements., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work., • Ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift., • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic., • Willingness to learn mechanical assembly processes with training provided., • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required., • Experience with mechanical assembly in an industrial or shop environment is a plus., • Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled facility., • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members., • Openness to continuous improvement and learning new processes and tools.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a non-climate-controlled production facility, where you will work primarily on the first shift. The standard schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools such as drills and screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and measuring tools like tape measures. The work involves standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks while assembling mechanical components. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork, with expectations for maintaining a clean and orderly work area and following all safety procedures and guidelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McDonough, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
