Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Repairs and maintains torque tools, and equipment requiring mechanical, electrical or pneumatic repair and performs preventive maintenance services., • Pretesting of pneumatic and electric tools and accessories for the sole purpose of proper form, fit and function., • The job involves trouble-shooting, tearing down, repairing, reassembling and calibrating all types of torque multiplying tools in shop., • Works with sales and service team members, engineers and customers to meet the growing day to day repair requirements., • Checks tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance., • Assists in familiarizing and training customers on tool operation and maintenance., • Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner. Education/Experience Required • Minimum two (2) years of experience in repairing and maintaining tools and/or equipment., • Ability to diagnose and successfully repair equipment or tools and plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing workload., • Must have and be able to use your own set of basic tools., • Demonstrate ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations., • Must be a dependable team player with high energy and a strong commitment to quality output., • Ability to work with little or no supervision., • Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills., • Must be able to wear protective equipment as needed., • Must have high school diploma or equivalent., • Must have clean and valid driver’s license. Computer Skills Necessary • Basic computer skills and proficiency (Microsoft Office/Word/Excel). Physical Demands/Requirement • Ability to routinely lift 25-40 lbs tools., • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching and reaching. The wage range for this role considers various factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has been adjusted for the applicable geographic location at which the position may be filled. About the role: We are seeking an HVAC Field Service Technician to service HVAC equipment and systems for maintaining cooling, heating, and ventilation to buildings and facilities throughout but not limited to the New York Tri-State area. Responsibilities: • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair for HVAC system, • Provide technical support for new chiller installation, startup and commissioning, • Demonstrate and train customers how to use their system properly, • Create and build strong relationships with customers, provide remarkable service, and surpass customers’ expectations, • Communicating with customers and managers regarding service findings is essential, ensuring customer satisfaction., • Keep track of service calls, • Represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact for our products and equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location., • Display team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight work, • Keep the management team in loop about customer’s satisfaction, any potential sales opportunities and any recurring problems, • Other tasks as assigned, • Possess and respect a safety-first attitude Qualifications: • US work authorization, • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and typically 2 plus years of experience in HVAC. Technical School or formal training is preferred., • This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, stooping, kneeling and climbing ladders. It requires employees to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 lbs., • This role may involve exposure to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, noisy operating equipment and other variable environmental conditions based on location, • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude and an ability to learn and grow quickly, • Must be capable of working independently or in a team, • Confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities., • Ability to travel and work overtime/weekend as needed, • Ability to review plans, diagrams and flow charts, • Demonstrate a high level of trouble shooting skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills, • A general knowledge of electronics is required, • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record, • Strong knowledge of relative safety standard/good practice and willingness to use PPE, • EPA certification and OSHA certification preferred Compensation: • Competitive salary, • Medical/dental/vision insurance, • Retirement plan BROAD U.S.A. is an equal opportunity employer
