Job Description The Admissions Counselor is responsible for executing strategic recruitment and admissions activities to support the enrollment goals of Passaic County Community College. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this role serves as the College's primary representative, managing a recruitment territory and counseling prospective students through the enrollment funnel. The Counselor must maintain expert knowledge of college programs, policies, and procedures to guide students effectively. This is a full-time, administrative position. Example of Duties: • Initiate and execute recruitment activities throughout Passaic County and the North Jersey region., • Manage and report assigned recruitment territory and build strong relationships with high schools, community organizations, and special population groups., • Represent the College at recruitment functions, including college fairs, community events, and admissions-related activities, as assigned., • Plan, coordinate, and participate in on-campus and off-campus recruitment events and special programs., • Counsel prospective students on academic programs and opportunities available at PCCC., • Counsel prospective students throughout the enrollment process, from initial inquiry through registration., • Utilize the Anthology REAC Admission H CRM to track prospective students interactions, manage inquiries, and maintain confidential records in compliance with college policies., • Participate in all phases of recruitment and enrollment cycle, including group presentations, phone and email outreach, and social media initiatives., • Support and manage special projects assigned by the Director of Admissions., • Bachelor's degree required in a related field., • Excellent oral/written communication (bilingual English/Spanish preferred), • Valid Driver's License required., • Familiarity with computer systems, especially Anthology REACH (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)., • Digital Fluency: Knowledge of new media, including social networking platforms and web-based communication tools., • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present effectively to groups, strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and work independently, and a proven capacity to collaborate effectively as part of a team within the college community. Compensation: Salary is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The starting salary for this position is $50,000.
