About the Position: We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Finance with a proven track record of success to oversee all aspects of Masons financial operations. This is the most dynamic finance role at Mason one that requires both high-level financial expertise and a willingness to be hands-on in daily operations. At Mason, everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done, and we are looking for a servant leader to model that same mindset. This individual will be responsible for leading the finance department with vision, integrity, and accountability. They must serve as a mentor to every position within the finance department, setting the tone for the teams work ethic, collaboration, and continuous growth. You'll be expected to guide strategic decisions, foster internal development, and uphold a standard of operational excellence throughout the department and across the company. We are seeking a leader who can integrate into our organization by fostering a balance between the personal, collaborative spirit of a family-run business and the structure of a corporate environment. This individual should be actively engaged, hands-on, and committed to working alongside the teamsupporting and serving themrather than simply overseeing from a distance. This position reports directly to the executive leadership team and plays a crucial role in supporting the companys long-term success. Responsibilities: • Plan, develop, organize, and implement the companys fiscal strategy, covering cash flow, profitability, capital management, credit policies, and compliance with all regulatory, tax, and contractual obligations., • Coordinate and lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting, clearly communicating opportunities, risks, and performance drivers to leadership., • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, revenue tracking, and expense control., • Review contracts for clients, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with key provisions., • Establish and refine internal financial processes and systems, monitoring progress and improving efficiency across accounting and billing functions., • Use financial modeling and data analysis to support forecasting and guide strategic decision-making., • Prepare for and lead internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance., • Present complex financial data and insights in a clear, actionable format to executive leadership., • Manage M&A activities including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration., • Stay informed on current market conditions, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and accounting., • Provide coaching, development, and training to finance staff to build a high-performing team., • Partner with external accountants for monthly closeouts, tax planning, audits, and overall financial compliance., • Skilled in coordinating with banks to address regulatory matters., • Promotes cross-departmental collaboration and open communication., • Setup quarterly team building events. Skills & Qualifications: • Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field., • 810 years of progressive experience in finance and business, with at least 4 years in a management role., • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with a proactive, hands-on leadership style., • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Sage software is a plus., • Deep understanding of financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial reporting., • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written., • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams., • Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure., • Strong moral judgment and the ability to make sound decisions in high-stakes situations., • Familiarity with Certified Payroll and service-based accounting preferred., • CPA certification is a plus. Salary: $180,000.00+ per year Job Type: Full-time, in person.
