    We are seeking a caring and dependable Pet Bather to join our team. The Pet Bather is responsible for bathing, drying, and basic grooming of pets while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role supports groomers and helps maintain a clean, organized grooming environment. Key Responsibilities Bathe, dry, and brush pets according to breed and coat type Trim nails, clean ears, and perform basic hygiene tasks Safely handle pets of various sizes, temperaments, and breeds Monitor pets for skin conditions, injuries, or health concerns and report them to management or groomers Maintain cleanliness of bathing areas, kennels, and grooming tools Assist groomers as needed with prep work and pet handling Provide a calm, positive experience for pets and pet owners Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal welfare guidelines Qualifications Love of animals and comfort working hands-on with pets Ability to safely lift and handle pets (up to ~50 lbs, or with assistance) Patience and calm demeanor, especially with anxious or nervous animals Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Previous pet care or grooming experience preferred but not required Skills & Abilities Basic knowledge of dog and cat behavior Time management and multitasking skills Effective communication with team members and pet owners Willingness to learn grooming techniques and safety procedures Work Environment Exposure to water, pet hair, cleaning products, and noise Standing for extended periods Weekend and holiday availability may be required Benefits (optional) Competitive hourly pay Tips and bonuses Employee discounts on grooming services or pet products Opportunities for advancement into grooming roles
