Job Description Job Title: RF Electronics Repair Technician Job Description This role focuses on repairing and testing complex RF and electronic equipment to ensure it meets documented performance standards. You will troubleshoot operational failures down to the component level, replace or repair malfunctioning parts, and perform detailed calibrations and alignments. The position combines hands-on bench work with the use of specialized test equipment and requires close collaboration with Production, Test, Field Service, and Engineering teams. Responsibilities • Repair semi-complex electronic equipment such as printed circuit boards, multiplexing systems, and amplifiers., • Troubleshoot RF and electronic equipment by performing a variety of diagnostic tests to determine the cause of operational failure., • Reconstruct or replace defective electronic and mechanical parts as required, including making necessary mechanical adjustments., • Review engineering change notices related to the design and operation of equipment and apply relevant updates in repair work., • Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to detailed specifications and engineering documentation., • Apply new paint or other protective coatings to equipment components as needed to maintain product standards., • Test repaired equipment to documented performance standards using appropriate test procedures and equipment., • Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests in a computer database system., • Support product investigations by providing technical assistance to Production, Test, Field Service, and Engineering departments., • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience., • 1 to 3 years of related experience as an electronics or RF repair technician., • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with RF and microwave (MW) equipment and circuits., • Ability to diagnose and repair electronic components at the board and component level., • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment., • Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand tools for electronic and mechanical repair., • Experience testing circuits and verifying equipment performance against specifications., • Strong attention to detail in following test procedures, documentation, and engineering change notices., • Background in electrical engineering concepts related to RF and microwave systems., • Experience working with multiplexing systems, amplifiers, and printed circuit boards., • Familiarity with general test methodologies for RF and electronic products., • Ability to collaborate effectively with Production, Test, Field Service, and Engineering teams., • Willingness to learn new equipment, procedures, and technologies with guidance from leads and supervisors. This position is based on a manufacturing floor environment with dedicated work benches and defined work areas. You will primarily work at an individual bench performing troubleshooting, repair, and testing of RF and electronic products, and may periodically move equipment into specialized chambers or test areas depending on the test requirements. You will work closely with a lead and a supervisor and receive training and support as you become familiar with the products and processes. The role follows a 9/80 work schedule, with nine-hour days during the first week and an eight-hour day on Friday, providing a structured and predictable work pattern. Compensation is paid on a bi-weekly basis. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Farmingdale, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
