Job Description This role will provide telephone/email and/or on-site technical support to customers for all Polymedco’s platforms (Sedimat II, Sedimat 15/15 Plus, Sediten, Point of Care, OC-Auto Micro 80, OC-Auto Sensor Diana, PATHFAST, and OC-Auto Sensor io. Install the on-site analyzer and provide customer training on its operation and the associated reagents used. Essential Functions and Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs: • Have an excellent working knowledge of medical laboratory instrumentation, encompassing hardware, software, and reagents., • Answer and return phone calls/emails from customers, sales representatives, and internal staff to provide technical assistance with laboratory operations and assay-related functions/questions as defined in all relevant departmental SOPs., • Conduct customer telemarketing and record it in the inquiry software system CQ, • Participate in the Sedimat and Sediten Extended Warranty Program and document in the Inquiries Software System CQ., • Traveling up to 50% of the time to customer sites for analyzer setup and installation, assay and reagent training, implementation training, and attendance at tradeshows, conventions, and public/customer relations visits., • Participate in on-call coverage after hours, evenings, overnight, and weekends as needed., • Complete installation and training paperwork and record customer follow-up activities., • Initiate, maintain, and complete tickets in Feedback Handling Software CQ., • Perform training on agreed-upon topics and types of equipment for recruits, internal staff, and the company’s sales representatives., • Perform clinical laboratory activities, including but not limited to proficiency testing, product qualification studies, value assignment, special studies, lab and analyzer maintenance, correlation, and troubleshooting., • Provide reimbursement support for all assays sold. Additional Responsibilities: • Responsible for the neatness of the work area, maintaining standard office and laboratory equipment, and maintaining department supplies., • Assist with interdepartmental projects as requested. Education Requirements and Qualifications: • A bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field is required. Preference will be given to candidates who are Licensed Medical Technologists or Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientists. A minimum of five years of experience in a clinical laboratory is required., • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others., • Have excellent time management and organizational skills., • Can multitask., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint., • Must be available as needed., • As required for client credentialing, the position may require additional in-depth background checks, including drug screening, proof of immunizations, and other clearances to enter client sites.
