Job DescriptionDescription: • Work schedule will include weekdays and weekends, • Pay includes a base rate of $26.31 an hour plus a Health and Welfare cash payment of $5.50 an hour paid for each hour up to 40 hours a week., • Combined this comes to $31.81 an hour for regularly scheduled hours. Cleaning Duties as assigned by Cleaning Schedule to include (but not limited to): • Oversee the washing, rinsing, and sanitizing of all pots, pans, utensils, and cooking tools in compliance with sanitation and food safety standards., • Operate and maintain pot washing equipment, sinks, and sanitation systems according to manufacturer and safety guidelines., • Ensure correct chemical usage and proper dilution ratios for detergents and sanitizers., • Inspect all washed items for cleanliness before returning them to service areas., • Monitor water temperatures and sanitizer concentrations to ensure compliance with TB MED 530 and HACCP requirements., • Assign and oversee janitorial and pot-washing tasks to sanitation staff during assigned shifts., • Train new team members in safe cleaning methods, proper use of chemicals, and equipment handling., • Monitor workflow and adjust assignments to maintain efficiency during peak and non-peak hours., • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors to coordinate cleaning activities with production schedules., • Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing, pot washing, and utility areas, including floors, drains, walls, and storage areas., • Ensure proper waste segregation, recycling, and disposal in accordance with environmental and facility policies., • Conduct end-of-shift cleaning and sanitation of equipment, sinks, and floors., • Support deep-cleaning tasks of kitchen equipment and high-use areas as directed., • Inspect and report any malfunctioning equipment, leaks, or safety hazards to maintenance or supervisory personnel immediately., • Ensure all cleaning and sanitation practices comply with TB MED 530 and local health codes., • Maintain accurate cleaning logs, sanitation checklists, and temperature monitoring records., • Enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety procedures., • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required., • High school diploma or GED required., • Minimum 2 years of janitorial, sanitation, or dishwashing experience, preferably in a large-scale or institutional kitchen environment., • Demonstrated leadership or lead experience in janitorial or food service operations preferred., • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation techniques, and safety procedures., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in wet or hot conditions., • Strength: Lift up to 45lbs, • Posture: Standing 70%, Walking 30%, • Movement of objects: Frequent, • Heavy Lifting, Heavy Carrying, Pushing, Pulling, • Climbing or Balancing: Occasional, • Stooping: Frequent, • Reaching: Frequent, • Handling: Frequent, • Talking/Hearing: Frequent, • Seeing: Frequent, • Temperature Variation: Frequent #INDSJ
