We supplied 17+ million meals to children, families, and seniors, mobilized more than 6,000 volunteers, and raised over $20 million in donations and government support to help fight hunger. THE OPPORTUNITY Feeding Westchester has an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven Associate, Individual Giving. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Donor Relations the Associate, Individual Giving, will be responsible for assisting the IG team overall with the qualification, cultivation, and stewardship of individuals committed to supporting the work of Feeding Westchester. With the support of the Senior Manager of Donor Relations, the Associate will support our Nourishing Neighbor program of 3,000+ recurring donors. As well as, co-lead project management on our F2F Canvassing Campaign and lead project management for telemarketing and stewardship campaigns. We are looking for a candidate that is personable, especially over the phone and shows a high attention to detail. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Individual Giving and Recurring Giving Program: • Oversees a portfolio of est. 350+ recurring donors. Supports the solicitation, cultivation, stewardship, and retention of these donors. As well as, support the overall stewardship strategy for the Nourishing Neighbor Recurring Giving Program., • Partners with Senior Manager, Donor Relations and Marketing and Communications on developing and executing communication strategy for Nourishing Neighbor Donor Journey., • Cultivates, grows and retains donor relationships by acknowledging, updating, and engaging donors to deepen their relationship with Feeding Westchester., • Helps to identify new potential tiered recurring and mid-level donors with the direction of Senior Manager, Donor Relations, • Engages donors through meaningful contact such as phone calls, meetings, and site tours; and through mail, and mailed communications when merited., • Demonstrates timely follow-up and records actions and new information in the donor database accurately and time sensitively., • Supports the larger IG team to execute measurable donor strategies and supports the overall team’s fundraising revenue goal., • Partner with Development Operations team on cancellation retention strategies, donor coding and campaign coding in Raiser’s Edge and Fundraise Up., • Support Associate, Individual Giving on the Mid-Level Team with event prospecting support – collecting information, formatting documents other research as needed. Campaign and Project Management: Face-to Face (F2F) Canvassing Campaign: • Coordinate with agency partner on key messaging, marketing materials, training and field fundraiser quality control, • Process and review cancellation file management and invoicing, • Develop and lead field fundraiser engagement strategies including volunteer opportunities, branded swag and rewards program, • Visit fundraising sites to ensure accurate messaging is shared with the public, • Report new donor feedback to agency partner including complaints and praise, • Coordinate cross sharing marketing materials from other direct response channels to ensure field fundraisers are engaged and informed Telemarketing Campaign: • Project management of annual fund donor surveys and telemarketing fundraising efforts., • Partner with Marketing and Communications team on calling scripts for lapsed donor reactivation, sustainer conversion, sustainer upgrade and emergency telemarketing fundraising campaigns. Develop thank you call scripts for recurring donors and thank you call voicemail. Updating on a quarterly basis., • Partner with Development Operations on gift coding, fundraising list pulls, campaign set-up and gift processing on fundraising campaigns., • Partner with telemarketing agency on training material development and project management of each campaign., • Monitor campaign budget spend to ensure strong ROI., • Serving as primary contact for Feeding Westchester on our two agencies executing our thank you notes and thank you calls. Partnering with Associate, Individual Giving on messaging for prospect donor pipeline. Leads messaging and strategy for new recurring donor thank you., • Partners with Development Operations team to ensure list pulls, global adds and donor feedback from thank you call agency is entered correctly into Raiser’s Edge database., • Project management lead on internal execution of Newsletters and Welcome Brochures., • Processing invoices and tracking budget expenses for Direct Mail, Telemarketing, F2F and Stewardship Efforts, • Support the Recurring Giving and Individual Giving overall by helping with donor stewardship, donor research, email, and phone outreach, virtual and in-person events, and donor acknowledgments., • Works collaboratively with Volunteer Team to help connect donors to the mission., • Represents and speaks on behalf of Feeding Westchester as assigned by Senior Manager, Donor Relations Required Skills and Dispositions: • Service orientation: Are you driven to provide excellent customer service experience to and external stakeholders?, • Agility: Can you work independently, remotely, and as part of a dynamic and diverse team?, • Open to learning: Are you curious and open to learning new ways, technology, and approaches?, • Empathy: Are you able to recognize and relate to the needs of others, and can you share in their experiences?, • Capacity: Can you effectively manage different projects, balance many priorities and meet deadlines?, • Communication: Do you openly share ideas, and are you open to others' ideas? Required Knowledge • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with Microsoft Teams and Adobe., • Preference for proficiency in Raisers' Edge software or comparable donor database and Asana Project management software., • Fluency in Spanish a plus Required Education/Experience • Prior sales, customer service experience, project management or marketing experience, • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience., • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and juggle multiple tasks and maintain a high-level of attention to detail, • A valid driver's license and use of a vehicle to travel are required, along with the ability and flexibility to travel independently in the daytime and evenings to destinations and throughout Westchester County. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift, carry, and set up a variety of promotional materials, (weighing up to 50 pounds)., • Ability to pack, unpack and put away various materials., • Prolonged standing, walking, and bending in addition to sitting in front of a computer., • Ability to access, research, read, review, enter, and retrieve information from a computer, hard copies, and desktop publishing systems., • Ability to give regular communications in person, by writing, email, and telephone. Working Conditions • Working inside a warehouse environment and Feeding Westchester offices., • Working outside in all weather conditions in all Westchester communities., • Travel throughout Westchester County., • Ability to work irregular or extended hours, including some evenings and weekends.
