Job DescriptionSenior Payroll & HRIS Specialist Salary: 85k-105k Location: Hauppauge, NY - Hybrid 3 days on site/2 days from home Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Payroll & HRIS Specialist to manage full-cycle, multi-state payroll operations while supporting HRIS administration, configuration, and data accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong payroll expertise, analytical skills, and hands-on HRIS experience. Key Responsibilities • Process weekly end-to-end multi-state payroll with accuracy and compliance., • Maintain tax compliance, filings, and state registration requirements., • Handle employee data changes, garnishments, deductions, and payroll adjustments., • Administer payroll-related 401(k) activities including loans, contributions, and audits., • Serve as primary contact for payroll inquiries and issue resolution., • Maintain payroll documentation, policies, checklists, and supporting records., • Act as HRIS system administrator, ensuring system integrity and accurate employee data., • Support configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS modules., • Lead HRIS updates, testing, and new feature rollouts., • Produce HR and payroll reports, dashboards, and analytics., • Collaborate with HR on process improvements, department projects, and engagement activities. Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree preferred., • 5+ years full-cycle payroll experience., • 3+ years hands-on HRIS administration experience., • Experience with Dayforce strongly preferred., • Strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and tax laws., • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems., • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
