Responsibilities • Greet patients without delay, • Promptly answer or handle queries in a friendly and courteous manner, • Explain all required paperwork, tests, products and services while being sensitive to patient health information, • Maintain charts, • Perform prescreening to prepare the patient for the doctor., • Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients, • Review prescriptions and/or patient information carefully; identify special needs, consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor or Management when necessary, • Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume, • Obtain the patient's reason for visit, health and family histories; review and record medications, obtain and record testing measurements and frame measurements, • Keep track of supplies and maintain office equipment., • Demonstrate knowledge of utilizing client insurance benefits, appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures, • Identify situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution, • Handle and file all patient records in an organized and efficient manner in accordance with HIPAA, • Place contact lens orders, process shipments and properly submit invoices for payment, • Operate the POS system terminal inputting customer/patient and prescription information with accuracy and attention to details, • Accurately operate the POS system, when required, collecting proper payment following company security procedures and retaining proper change for a variety of transactions, such as credit cards, layaways, discounts, insurance and coupons, • Explain to customers processing and expected delivery times, • Take pride in the appearance of the store and ensures visual displays are in accordance with Company provided guidelines, • Maintain safe working environment for all associates/patients, • Quickly respond to changes in store promotions or procedures with appropriate staff communications, • Demonstrate excellent product and service knowledge; take initiative to accurately describe the features and benefits of various products or services, • Assist the customer in selecting eyewear that are best suited for their vision, lifestyle and budget, • Performs all pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail; takes the initiative to explain all measurements and answers any questions the patient may have, • Demonstrate clinical and product knowledge, provide coaching and guidance to patients on the care and handling of eyewear and contact lenses, • Responsible for the maintenance and disinfection of medical devices, work stations, work surfaces, and premises, • Establish positive patient rapport and build relationships to establish repeat customers that ask for you by name, • Strong written and oral communication skills to exchange information in a team-oriented environment, • Must be proficient in relevant medical terminology and vocabulary, • Excellent attention to detail, • Strong customer service skills, • Knowledge of current fashion trends, • Strong communicator and listener, • Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators, • Organization skills, • Strong interpersonal skills, • Sales skills, • Strong basic math skills, • Knowledge of office and store merchandise, • Punctual, • Responsible, • Reliable, • Pro-active in problem solving, • Self-starting attitude, • Helpful in looking for ways to improve Full time applicants only, must be able to work Saturdays. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Ensures that the equipment necessary for each watch is operational including radios, flashlights, and keys prior to relieving the watch. Prepares shift documentation including shift reports, work orders, security reports, and unusual incidents that are legible, concise and that meet facility’s standards and contracting agency requirements., • Receives necessary information from previous shift personnel pertaining to events that transpired during the shift such as resident medical problems, disciplinary problems, or new arrivals and any special instructions. Relieves the watch and informs necessary personnel that the watch has been relieved. Makes entries into the security log showing the time the watch was relieved noting name and title., • Conducts radio checks documenting results in the security log. Conducts facility counts at the prescribed times and ensures the logbooks in the buildings are accurate as to count., • Frequently patrols building to observe and listen to individual residents and groups of residents and monitors the state of the building. Examples of activities include smelling for marijuana, listening to conversations, or ensuring doors and windows are properly secured., • Ensures that the building picture board has a picture of all residents assigned to the building and that the picture is in the proper bed slot., • Organizes and supervises resident work details to assist in maintaining facility cleanliness to ensure that facility meets facility’s and contracting agency requirements., • Performs activities on both a scheduled and random basis including urinalysis testing, pat-downs, shakedowns, counts, or breath tests, to maintain control and security of the residents and facility., • Documents disciplinary action for rule violations according to procedure to comply with contracting agency requirements and log accordingly., • Conducts scheduled and impromptu cleanliness checks of the facility and resident’s personal belonging to maintain it in an orderly and clean fashion to meet health and environmental requirements. This includes all rooms within the facility and residents’ personal belongings.
