    Kitchen Staff Job Description Position Title: Kitchen Staff / Kitchen Assistant Summary: Responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cleanliness, organization, and supporting cooks and management to ensure efficient service and high-quality food. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare ingredients (wash, cut, portion, and store food items), • Assist cooks and chefs during food preparation and service, • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstations, • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, • Properly store food and label items according to regulations, • Operate basic kitchen equipment (ovens, slicers, grills, fryers), • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools as needed, • Take out trash and maintain clean garbage areas, • Restock supplies and notify management when inventory is low, • Follow instructions from kitchen supervisors or managers, • Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries Requirements: • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, • Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation, • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs, • Team-oriented with good communication skills, • Flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays), • Previous kitchen experience is a plus but not required Physical Requirements: • Standing, walking, and moving for extended periods, • Lifting, bending, and carrying supplies, • Working in hot, cold, and wet environments Work Environment: • Fast-paced kitchen setting, • Exposure to heat, sharp tools, and kitchen equipment, • Requires strict adherence to cleanliness and safety standards Additional Duties: • Assist in catering or special events when needed, • Support other locations if required, • Perform other duties as assigned by management
