This is a true growth opportunity and as a Field Service Technician specializing in fire alarm service, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, programming and support services for our large customer fire alarm systems. This position requires a strong generalist knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, inspection and servicing procedures. Essential Duties: • Ability to read, interpret, and execute blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals., • Ability to program or proven experience in programing low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, CCTV, and clocks., • Consistently apply specific skills and relevant Fire Alarm system knowledge including underlying professional/technical principles or standards., • Play an integral role in Fire Alarm project execution, including the coordination of equipment delivery and interface with other trades to successfully complete projects in order to exceed Customer and Company expectations, • Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other relevant building system(s) at customer sites., • Adhere to method-of-procedure(s) required to troubleshoot systems in accordance with technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment., • Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers’ Fire Alarm systems, as required to meet Customer and Company expectation, • Five (5) years+ proven experience in Fire Alarm Systems, • Five (5) years+ experience in interior and exterior wiring and the repair of electrical equipment and appliances. Five (5) years+ experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems. • Five (5) years+ of maintenance experience and an electrical license., • Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices., • Experience of at least 2 major brands of fire control panels, factory training a plus., • Knowledge of test equipment to include oscilloscope, multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices preferred., • Excellent Industrial Electrical Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills, • Valid Fire Alarm License, • Computer fluency in Windows, Excel, and other Microsoft products., • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements., • Ability to travel up to 50% of time depending on assigned geographic location., • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment & tools up to 50-70 lbs.
