Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Patient Financial Coordinator/ Eligibility Specialist to support our client’s medical facility based in Newark, NJ 07103. This is a 3 months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Details: Job Name: Clinical Administrative Coordinator Location: Newark, NJ 07103 Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension & conversion). Payrate: $18-20/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 10: 00 am to 7:00 pm, for a 1-hour lunch, or 10:30 am to 7:00 pm if a half hour lunch is preferred. (Saturdays the start time can begin at 8 am if desired). Job Responsibilities: • Interview patients in a hospital setting and work effectively with hospital personnel to assist patients with obtaining maximum benefit coverage., • Complete applications for state and federal programs., • Review medical records and take all necessary actions to expedite benefit approval. Adherent to company and legal standards regarding Protected Health Information (PHI), Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Personnel Transaction Identifier (PTI)., • Maintain ongoing communication with government agencies regarding the status of claims., • Provide updates and assistance to hospital personnel and other staff as needed., • Maintain documentation of status of claims and client contract and/or hospital computer systems., • Determine when to use a Federal, State or Local program application based upon medical definition of disability as it relates to body systems and to functions of daily living, and information contained in medical records., • High School Diploma or a GED., • 1- 3+ years of customer service experience within a hospital or healthcare environment., • Experience with hospital/ patients/ financial counseling required., • Experience with Microsoft Office products., • Knowledge of federal and state programs that will benefit coverage for clients., • Knowledge of medical terminology About Pride Health Pride Health is Pride Global's healthcare staffing branch, providing recruitment solutions for healthcare professionals and the industry at large since 2010.
