Job DescriptionJob Title: Industrial Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to support our plant operations. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls across high-speed bottling and packaging equipment. The position operates on a day shift (2-2-3) from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480VAC to 24VDC electrical systems and motor control centers., • Troubleshoot and repair process and packaging equipment such as fillers, conveyors, packers, and palletizers., • Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo drives to maintain electronic control systems., • Calibrate, inspect, and troubleshoot flow, pressure, level, and temperature instrumentation., • Lead and train other E&I technicians as needed., • Create work orders in our maintenance system., • Troubleshoot photo eyes and proximity sensors., • Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills, • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an industrial electrician., • 1–2 years in a high-speed production environment, preferably in food/beverage or bottling., • Formal E&I training from a vocational school, military, or certification program preferred., • Understanding of 480VAC power distribution systems and NEC code., • Skilled in using electrical tools such as meggers, amp/volt meters, and conduit benders., • Solid troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with PLCs and industrial controls such as Allen-Bradley, SLC-500, DeviceNet, and Ethernet/IP., • Familiarity with VFDs and servo systems like PowerFlex, SEW, Pacific Scientific, and Rockwell., • Knowledge of vision systems and online coding/printing systems is a plus.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is within a GMP food and beverage company. No jewelry, makeup, or long nails are allowed on the floor, and attire is fairly casual. The role requires standing on hard surfaces like concrete for up to 12 hours per shift, lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds, and climbing stairs, ladders, platforms, and other structures for inspections and maintenance. The position involves working indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal temperatures and humidity levels and functioning effectively in areas of high noise while using proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
