We are recruiting a vascular surgeon for a full time role in New Jersey and New York. The physician will provide vascular consults in an ambulatory practice and in skilled nursing facilities, read and interpret noninvasive vascular studies, and perform minimally invasive procedures including peripheral arterial angiography with interventions and venous ablation. The surgeon will collaborate closely with wound care teams to optimize limb preservation and wound healing outcomes. Job responsibilities: • Provide on site vascular consults and follow up visits for residents of skilled nursing facilities across assigned service areas., • Provide on site vascular consultations and follow up visits for patients in multiple ambulatory practices., • Interpret noninvasive vascular studies including arterial and venous duplex ultrasound, ankle brachial index and toe brachial index, pulse volume recordings, and related physiologic tests., • Perform endovascular procedures including diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy as clinically indicated., • Perform venous interventions including radiofrequency venous ablation and Varithena when appropriate., • Perform ultrasound guided procedures including venous access and foam sclerotherapy when appropriate., • Document clinical encounters in the electronic health record with accuracy and completeness that supports medical necessity, coding, and payer requirements., • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning with wound care nurses, physicians, and facility staff to support wound healing and limb salvage., • Adhere to sterile technique, safety protocols, and quality assurance processes for all diagnostic and interventional procedures., • MD or DO with completion of an ACGME accredited vascular surgery fellowship., • Board certified vascular surgery., • Unrestricted New Jersey and New York medical licenses or eligibility to obtain., • DEA and New Jersey CDS registration or eligibility., • Demonstrated proficiency in endovascular interventions, venous ablation using RFA and Varithena, and ultrasound guided procedures., • Competence in interpretation of noninvasive vascular studies., • Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with CMS coverage and compliance requirements., • Prior experience caring for patients in skilled nursing facilities or post acute settings., • Interest in limb preservation and collaboration with wound care programs., • Familiarity with advanced wound imaging and perfusion assessment tools. Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist/Special Procedures Tech provides scrub assistance and operates fluoroscopy equipment within the procedure suite.
