Job Description Position Overview: The Education Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Woodfield Principal to ensure that youth entering the program receive appropriate educational instruction. The Education Coordinator will serve as the liaison with the child’s community school district and Greenburg 11 to develop an education plan while in detention, while working to reengage the youth in educational services upon discharge. This may include conducting educational assessments, retrieving academic information/academic work from the school district, communicating with parents/teachers/guidance counselors and advocates, and assisting the teacher with implementing lesson plans in the classroom. Upon discharge from the program, the Education Coordinator will organize a packet of assessments and schoolwork completed to be sent to the parent and the party responsible for continuing academic services. Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education related Field or Social Work. One-year experience in Education or Child Welfare. Basic computer skill and good written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to work evening and weekend time. Bilingual in English and Spanish Required. Job Description Position Overview: The primary task is to provide oversight to staff and youth within a specialized cottage with the support of a multi-disciplinary Team. Assistant shall carry out assigned duties and responsibilities that builds and supports a team and provide therapeutic, supportive nurturing and structured programming with youth between ages 5 and 20 years old and their families. Assistant shall assist in assuring their direct reports provide safe, creative, and supportive environments with a focus on changing problem behavior, building social skills and developing positive relationships. Assistant is responsible to work collaboratively with their Supervisor and Night Supervisors to assure 24/7 coverage. Oversight includes programming for youth, assurance that programs are well structured, well-resourced, home-like and meet the needs of the youth. Assistant shall focus on the implementation of identified models and programs to assure consistency and the attainment of identified goals. Position Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalency with minimum 2 years experience in child welfare/juvenile justice OR a college degree with 1 year child welfare/juvenile justice related experience, required. Experience in running groups/workshops, required. Training/experience in substance abuse prevention, conflict/behavior management or related high risk interventions, 1 year minimum, required. Valid NYS driver’s license, preferred. Strong demonstrated work experience of leadership and supervisory skills, preferred. Experience in independent living skills development, 1 year minimum, preferred. Experience in running groups/workshops, preferred. Bi-lingual (Spanish), ideal. Job Description Position Overview: The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the clinical treatment planning for all youth within the cottage(s) to which they are assigned. The Treatment Coordinator chairs monthly treatment planning meeting(s) utilizing the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) for each youth placed in residential care. Treatment planning meetings include the multidisciplinary team, which consists of clinical and direct care staff, focus on ensuring all youth needs are met and that treatment is progressing towards discharge. Using the treatment model as a guide, the Treatment Coordinator advises on the needs and treatment strategies that will be most beneficial for the youth and family at any given time. The Treatment Coordinator is also responsible for providing clinical services to residents and their families. The employee will be engaged in treatment, assessment, and consultation. The Treatment Coordinator shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Treatment Coordinator is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior modification (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Treatment Coordinator is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents. Job Description Position Overview: The Program Director of Shelter Services has direct programmatic and supervisory responsibility for all aspects of the Shelter, including facility, programming, budgeting, contracts, and staffing. The Program Director is expected to develop and maintain a team approach in conducting intakes, assessments, treatment, programming, and discharge services for all shelter clients. The Program Director is to ensure the completion of reports, data collection, staff job/duty assignments and schedules. Position Qualifications: Master's degree in social work or related services field. Social Work Supervisory experience and/or RHYS Specialist supervisor experience at The Children's Village, or a minimum of three years of similar experience at another residential treatment center or equivalent childcare setting.
