Job Description Reliability Planning Analyst Location: Melville, NY Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Pay Rate: $27.00–$31.00/hour Job Summary Seeking a Reliability Planning Analyst to support a team of multi-skilled technicians in a manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, and office environment. The Reliability Planning Analyst is responsible for the effective execution of maintenance work-control processes. The primary focus of this role is to improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through effective planning and coordination of labor, parts, materials, tools, equipment, permits, documentation, and equipment access. The position is responsible for managing work priorities, developing job plans, identifying required parts and materials, defining appropriate crafts and skill requirements, and coordinating the resources necessary to develop safe, effective, and efficient maintenance work-control plans. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance Planning & Scheduling • Review and process planned work orders submitted by requesting departments., • Verify that work orders contain all required information and documentation., • Determine the scope and best practices required to complete maintenance activities., • Develop detailed job plans for preventive, predictive, corrective, and improvement maintenance., • Prepare job plans that identify parts, materials, special tools, external services, documentation, estimated costs, and task sequencing., • Develop maintenance schedules for PM, PDM, and Service Work Orders (SWOs)., • Establish and maintain work priorities and scheduling processes., • Coordinate workforce and resources with the Site Maintenance Manager and Operations to optimize productivity and costs., • Develop planned job packages for recurring maintenance activities., • Conduct post-job reviews to confirm that work was completed successfully and equipment is operating as expected. Work Order & CMMS Management • Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)., • Manage and track work orders, maintenance backlog, spare parts, and equipment history., • Ensure maintenance personnel understand work instructions and properly update and close work orders upon completion., • Maintain accurate equipment histories and maintenance records., • Analyze unplanned work orders and maintenance occurrences to identify opportunities for corrective and preventive actions., • Modify PM, PDM, and SWO scopes based on maintenance activity results and feedback. Parts, Materials & Resource Coordination • Identify and secure all parts, materials, special tools, equipment, rentals, external services, and documentation required to complete maintenance work., • Provide the Stores department with Bills of Material (BOMs) and kits of parts to maximize maintenance efficiency., • Develop and maintain critical-spares lists., • Identify procurement sources and help reduce parts and material lead times., • Assign appropriate skilled labor and resources to ensure successful completion of planned work., • Escalate work requiring specialized tools, personnel, engineering support, or special approvals to the Reliability Manager. Reliability & Continuous Improvement • Perform root cause analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement., • Analyze maintenance data and unplanned work to develop corrective and preventive actions., • Implement maintenance planning and scheduling best practices, with emphasis on preventive and predictive maintenance., • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, availability, and maintenance efficiency., • Continuously improve job estimates, planning, and scheduling processes using feedback from maintenance personnel., • Prepare reports, analyze operational data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations., • Track and analyze reliability and maintenance performance metrics, including:, • Schedule compliance, • PM compliance, • Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), • Planned vs. reactive maintenance, • Maintenance backlog, • Other maintenance and reliability KPIs Safety & Compliance • Uphold all safety, health, and environmental procedures., • Support and communicate EHS policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, company, and site-specific requirements., • Ensure maintenance activities are planned and executed using safe work practices., • Promote an effective safety culture throughout maintenance operations., • Ensure required permits, PPE, documentation, and equipment access are identified and available before work begins. Cross-Functional Coordination • Serve as the primary liaison between the Maintenance Department and Operations/Planning., • Coordinate with maintenance, operations, engineering, stores, vendors, and other appropriate resources., • Identify work requiring engineering or design support and coordinate with the appropriate teams., • Ensure maintenance personnel understand work instructions, procedures, and best practices., • May travel locally to other facilities or locations as needed to provide support. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Minimum 2 years of Facility Planning experience., • Strong computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft products., • Ability to read and understand technical documents and information displayed on computer systems., • Ability to use office equipment, computer systems, databases, and communication tools., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Strong organization and time-management skills., • Ability to communicate effectively through telephone conversations, meetings, presentations, and one-on-one interactions., • Ability to work effectively with clients, employees, vendors, and other stakeholders in a professional manner., • Valid state driver's license may be required., • Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client's location.
