First Choice Construction is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing company warehouses and overseeing tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure smooth operations. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities. You will lead and motivate the warehouse staff, implement best practices to optimize workflows, and collaborate with other departments to meet company objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience with warehouse management systems and a commitment to safety standards are also essential. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping of construction materials and equipment., • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs., • Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations., • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment., • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project management teams to ensure timely availability of materials., • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits to prevent shortages or overstock situations., • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and generate reports for management review., • Manage equipment maintenance and ensure proper handling of construction materials., • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices in warehouse management. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role, preferably within the construction industry., • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes., • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff., • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite., • Solid knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace., • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities., • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written., • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
