This role ensures that equipment, materials, and shop resources are properly maintained, accurately tracked, and ready for deployment to support field operations. Shop Operations & Coordination: · Review daily shop schedule and move equipment based on testing, delivery, or project needs. · Assist with palletizing, crating, and securing equipment for shipment. · Maintain organization of shop areas, shelves, and storage locations. · Support setup and teardown of training, lab, and special event activities. 2. Shipping, Receiving & Inventory: · Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and inspect for damage. · Match shipments to purchase orders and ensure proper documentation. · Process incoming and outgoing equipment, including breaker tracking and labeling. · Maintain organized incoming/outgoing shipment areas and shelving. · Track and manage surplus, overstock, and inventory across locations. 3. Equipment Tracking & Maintenance: · Perform daily audits using asset tracking systems (e.g., ToolTracker). · Inspect, clean, and verify functionality of equipment. · Identify defective equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements. · Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. · Maintain documentation, labeling, and inventory accuracy. 4. Facility & Safety Support: · Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop and warehouse areas. · Ensure walkways, exits, and workspaces remain safe and unobstructed. · Support maintenance of shop equipment (generators, compressors, etc.). · Assist with waste management processes, including oil handling and disposal coordination. 5. Logistics & Transportation Support: · Coordinate internal equipment transfers between locations. · Support loading/unloading and secure transport of equipment. · Perform deliveries and vendor drop-offs as needed. · Ensure compliance with safety and DOT requirements when applicable. 6. Additional Responsibilities: • Perform other related duties as assigned to support evolving business needs and organizational goals. · Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. · Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. · Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment handling. · Ability to safely load, unload, and secure equipment and materials. · Forklift certification (or ability to obtain). · DOT certification (or ability to obtain). · Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams. · Valid driver’s license required; must be able to operate a company or personal vehicle for business purposes and meet all applicable company and client screening requirements based on job duties (e.g., motor vehicle record, background check, drug testing, or other applicable screenings). Preferred Qualifications: · Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Teams, and asset tracking systems preferred. · Experience working in an electrical services, testing, or industrial environment. · Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, breakers, or related shop assets. · Experience using asset tracking systems (e.g., ToolTracker or similar platforms). · Previous experience supporting field technicians or project-based operations. · Knowledge of inventory control processes across multiple locations. · Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. · Experience with basic hand tools such as soldering. Physical Requirements: This position may involve a combination of indoor office work and outdoor field activities. The following physical demands are considered essential functions of the role: · Regularly lift, carry, and/or move up to 75 pounds. · Stand, walk, sit, climb ladders and staircases, and operate vehicles for extended periods. · Bend, stoop, crawl, and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours. · Perform repetitive movements such as typing, tool use, or equipment handling. · Reach with hands and arms, including overhead and below waist level, to handle tools, materials, or controls. The employee may occasionally be required to: · Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, and in muddy or wet environments. · Perform precision tasks using tools, instruments, and fittings. · Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
