Job Description Established in 1990, Miller Refrigeration is a family owned and operated commercial refrigeration company servicing Maryland, DC, Northern Virginia, Delaware, and Southern Pennsylvania. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as the first point of contact for all technicians, foremen, and helpers for warehouse, materials, equipment, and logistics needs, • Act as the first person to receive and process materials lists for jobs and projects, • Order materials needed for jobs/projects after warehouse staff has pulled as much as possible from existing stock, • Send out materials lists for vendor quotes, follow up on quotes, and collect and submit quotes for review, • Handle logistics for materials: coordinate who is picking up materials or when vendors are delivering, • Order and track gases and consumables including Nitrogen, B-Tanks, CO2, Glycol, etc., • Manage Wawa equipment: request equipment, track and assign assets, schedule audits, and conduct asset reviews, • Assign trucks to be loaded and unloaded each day, • Communicate with team members on estimated times of arrival (ETAs) for returning trucks and coordinate what needs to happen upon return, • Order stock to replenish warehouse inventory and ensure adequate levels to support field operations, • Communicate regularly with vendors to confirm delivery dates and resolve issues or delays, • Coordinate with construction (Miller Refrigeration Services) to share updates on materials on trucks, delivery schedules, and any delays, • Input all related costs and credits into the tracking system to support accurate job costing and accounting, • Track all “shop” equipment and tools; systematically develop plans to replace worn or outdated equipment, • Schedule and oversee cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, • Schedule and oversee regular truck inventories to ensure all field vehicles remain properly stocked and equipped, • Support daily warehouse operations including receiving, staging, storing, and distributing materials and tools, • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards, • Other duties as assigned ROLE REQUIRMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field preferred Skills & Competencies: · Computer literacy required. · Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. · Teamwork orientation. Physical/Mental Requirements: • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs, • Ability to work in the heat and the cold, • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required, • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment exposed to seasonal temperature changes Work Environment: Primarily based in warehouse setting; occasional visits to local vendors, suppliers, or job sites as needed
