Job Description The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse, including managing inventory levels, ensuring the timely receipt and shipment of goods, supervising warehouse staff, and maintaining a safe working environment, effectively coordinating all activities to optimize safety, quality, efficiency and productivity within the warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Warehouse Manager and will have responsibilities at a local (90% primary day-to-day) and corporate (10% secondary/ tertiary) level. Key Responsibilities: • Role consists of an average 70/30 ratio. This includes on average, 70% oversight of day to day operations which includes adjusting staff plan to meet deadlines. This will also include an average of 30% hands on support periodically during the shift to help with pain points in certain areas throughout the day., • Distribute workload and monitor progress to personnel in the department., • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines., • Inventory control: Maintaining accurate stock levels by applying 100% inventory quality inspections throughout all warehouse transactions, conducting daily cycle counts to meet monthly goals, and ensuring inventory results are compliant to Ameco’s acceptable adjustment tolerance levels., • Order fulfillment: Overseeing the receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of orders. Must participate in the completion of fulfillment as necessary to ensure deadlines are met. This can include actively receiving, picking or shipping of orders., • Communication: Regularly coordinate with other departments within the company, including Purchasing, Customer Service and Sales., • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity per organizational and/or project objectives and guidelines., • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff., • Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies., • Accredited two (2) year Technical or Business degree in applicable field of study, or, • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a Warehouse Distribution Center., • Excellent computer and software skills including the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs., • Minimal 5 years experience working in a WMS system., • Physically able to lift 70 pounds and carry 50 pounds (or global weight equivalents)., • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors., • Strong organizational skills., • Extensive knowledge of parts, inventory, and warehouse practices., • Ability to effectively supervise and improve work processes., • Warehouse: the ability to pass internal forklift license., • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines., • Previous license operating a forklift AND stock picker preferred., • OSHA 10 or 30 General Duties preferred., • DOT and IATA Certification preferred., • Employee Time Management, • Employee Policy Adherence, • Employee Corrective Action Documentation Individuals will be required to frequently sit/drive stand, walk, lift/carry, reach, stoop, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, talk, hear, climb step ladder, engage in repetitive motions and demonstrate eye/hand/foot coordination. Close vision is required for this job. Employees are required to regularly lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Position frequently demands light to heavy physical work. Work Environment: • This position is based in a warehouse/distribution setting., • Role involves working alone and collaborating as part of a team. Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur., • Environmental conditions include frequent exposure to heat, temperature changes, noise and humidity.
