Summary: • Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of the following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions, • Loads or unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage, • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders, • Participates in routing, counting, and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks, • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, • Maintains radio communication with the appropriate personnel Requirements: Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience must be within the last 5 years. Experience must also be operating in small confined areas with pedestrian traffic. Must have knowledge of OSHA forklift and pedestrian regulations and processes. Ability to successfully complete written and hands-on demonstration of operation to confirm competency requirements are present. Valid driver’s license Strong attention to detail Qualified candidates must have strong basic math skills and the ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions and procedures. 1st shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
