Key Responsibilities • Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history, • Assist providers during examinations and minor in-office procedures across multiple specialties, • Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection as needed, • Manage patient flow to ensure efficient and timely care delivery, • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, • Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms in accordance with infection control standards, • Provide patient education and instructions as directed by providers, • Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to support overall operations Qualifications • Associate degree in Medical Assisting required, • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, • Current CMA/CCMA certification preferred, • Candidates not currently certified must be willing to obtain the CCMA (NHA) certification within 90 days of hire, • Prior experience in a multi-specialty or outpatient setting preferred, • Strong clinical and organizational skills with attention to detail, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Schedule & Work Environment • Monday through Friday schedule (no weekends required), • Flexible 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, • Rotating responsibilities across multiple specialty departments We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC), The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO) , and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA).
