Job Title Director, Child & Family Clinic Location Queens Village, NY (On-site) Organization Lifeline Center for Child Development Position Overview Lifeline is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Director of the Child & Family Clinic to provide clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for our growing outpatient program serving children, adolescents, and families. This role is ideal for a licensed clinician who is both a strong teacher and supervisor and an operationally skilled leader, capable of managing the day-to-day functioning of a multidisciplinary clinic while advancing high-quality, trauma-informed care. The Child & Family Clinic is currently funded through a generous SAMHSA grant through 2028, with New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS OMH) licensure pending, positioning the program for long-term sustainability and expansion. This is a unique opportunity to lead a clinic at a pivotal moment of growth and institutionalization. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Program Leadership • Provide clinical oversight to ensure high-quality, ethical, and effective services for children, adolescents, and families, • Ensure fidelity to the clinic’s treatment model, Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), • Work toward becoming a certified TST trainer to support internal staff development and broader community initiatives, • Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish program goals, outcomes, and performance measures, • Use data and outcomes to inform continuous quality improvement Supervision, Teaching & Staff Development • Supervise and mentor clinical and non-clinical staff across multiple levels of training and experience, • Provide high-quality individual and group supervision, • Foster a learning-oriented, supportive, and accountable clinical culture, • Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and personnel matters, including disciplinary actions and terminations when necessary Operations & Administration • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and service delivery, • Manage clinic schedules, capacity, referrals, and waitlists, • Coordinate closely with internal departments including Operations, Maintenance, Administration, and Finance, • Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and operational readiness related to OMH licensure, • Work autonomously while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with senior leadership Community Engagement & Growth • Introduce clinic services to the surrounding community and partner organizations, • Support outreach, engagement, and recruitment of children and families in need of services, • Represent Lifeline and the clinic in community forums, collaborations, and initiatives Qualifications • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, • Current NYS clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent), • Demonstrated experience supervising clinical staff, • Experience working with children and/or families in outpatient, school-based, or community mental health settings, • Strong teaching, coaching, and leadership skills, • Highly organized, operationally strong, and comfortable managing complex systems, • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with executive leadership, • Experience with trauma-informed care required; experience with Trauma Systems Therapy strongly preferred Schedule • Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, • Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, • Friday & Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, • Off Sunday & Monday Compensation & Benefits • Starting salary range: $90,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience, • Annual merit-based bonus available, with opportunities for increased compensation as the clinic grows and expands services, • Salary growth anticipated in alignment with program development, OMH licensure, and long-term sustainability beyond grant funding, • Extremely generous paid time off: 4+ weeks annually, • 12 paid holidays, • Ample sick and personal time, • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, • Paid family leave, • Strong, supportive supervision and leadership culture Work Environment The Child & Family Clinic is located on Lifeline’s beautiful Queens Village campus, offering a warm, collegial, and supportive work environment.
