Description Position Overview: The Life Coach at Lee Goodwin Residence provides comprehensive case management, outreach, and counseling to the residents at our supportive housing facility for young adults aging out of foster care between the ages of 18-28 year olds. The Life Skills Coach will provide referrals to: education and career programs such as: HSE, Vocational Training, Employment, and Internships. As well as: Substance Abuse Treatment, and Mental Health Services. Salary: $48,000 to $52,000 (base salary commensurate with education, training and related work experience) Responsibilities: • Conduct a comprehensive intake assessment for all new residents and review the agency’s policies and procedures with them. Develop treatment plan for all residents. Monitor clients’ emotional, social and physical well-being, as well as their progress • Maintain concise and accurate resident files in Salesforce database • Monitor residents’ medication • Provide residents with necessary referrals, including emergencies such as hospitalization, detox, etc. Inform residents about on- site, agency and community resources that are available to them. • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings and training sessions and represent the agency at assigned meetings and conferences. • Input data in Salesforce data base daily for all of the residents. • Attend professional development trainings, supervision meetings, case conferences, and staff meetings. • Provide monthly statistical reports on time and accurately. • Work cooperatively with staff at all levels to ensure quality service provision and the development and improvement of team performance. • Assist residents in the planning, prioritizing and long-term goals and short-term goals. • Maintain and oversee documentation of case files for compliance with regulatory agency. Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade. No previous Hebrew experience is necessary to be part of the Sprout Brooklyn community. Sprout Brooklyn is a place where children from a wide spectrum of backgrounds join together to create a joyful, diverse community built on Jewish values, a connection to Israel and the Hebrew language. All of our Activity Specialists build their own informal Jewish education curricula based on Jewish values and creating a connection to Israel. They teach daily 30 minute lessons to campers entering Pre-K through entering 5th grade. Sprout Brooklyn values staff that are positive and flexible team players who are excited to spend the summer with young campers and staff. The ideal candidate is excited about camp life and feels comfortable wearing multiple hats and will never say that a task “isn’t their job”. Responsibilities Work with the Program Director to create weekly lesson plans Create and execute fun, age-appropriate activities Engage campers and help them develop new skills Run 30 minute lessons daily with groups of 12-14 campers Incorporate Jewish values, Hebrew and/or Israel education into activities whenever possible (assistance is provided if you do not have experience in this area) We are currently seeking specialists in the following areas: Music, Sports, Robotics, Yoga, Art, Dance, Hebrew, Martial Arts, Nature, Swim/Lifeguarding Requirements At least 18 years old Experience working with children ages 3-10 At least 2 years’ experience teaching specialty activity to children Experience attending or working at a summer camp (preferred, not required) Enthusiasm and the willingness to be silly Hebrew fluency is a plus (preferred, not required) Camp runs Monday - Friday from June 24 – August 16 with a week of staff training from June 17, 18, 20 & 23. What You’ll Do Working closely with the development team, executive team, and other senior staff at the Roosevelt Institute, the Donor Engagement Manager will play a key role in ensuring best-in-class cultivation and stewardship for Roosevelt’s funders. Responsibilities include: developing and executing cultivation and stewardship strategies for major individual and institutional donors, staffing principals for meetings and events, managing the individual giving pipeline, prospecting, and other related activities. The Donor Engagement Manager will report to the Director of Development. This is a non-management, unionized, individual contributor role. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Cultivation and Stewardship - Develop and execute donor engagement strategies, including supporter emails, cultivation events, and funder briefings - Work with development and external relations teams to craft donor-facing materials as needed - Regularly engage Roosevelt’s program and communications teams to identify programmatic work, projects, and events to leverage as opportunities to engage donors and prospects - Keep abreast of current events and other important items related to Roosevelt’s work on political economy to seek out opportunities to highlight our work to key audience Principal Staffing - Lead on prepping principals for major donor meetings, conferences, and speaking engagements, including coordinating scheduling, prospect research, and agenda-setting - Accompany principals to meetings as needed, taking notes and managing relevant follow-up Individual Giving - Manage the individual giving pipeline in service of raising $2 million from individuals in 2024 - Track donor engagement closely and manage up to senior staff to ensure best-in-class donor stewardship - Identify key prospects, manage prospect research, and prioritize them for pipeline building - Create stewardship plans and giving goals for mid-level and major donors based on alignment, giving history, and relationships - Manage the spring and end-of-year giving campaigns What You’ll Have - Minimum of 3–5 years experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations or campaigns - Experience cultivating relationships in policy organizations, labor unions, political campaigns, or movement groups - Familiarity with the progressive ecosystem strongly preferred - Track record of experience with a wide range of donors, from modest contributors (<$1,000) through to major donors (five to six figures) - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and thriving in a deadline-driven environment - Ability to collect, synthesize, and process information quickly and with accuracy - Understanding of the philanthropic and political environment and best practices in fundraising - Strong customer service orientation that centers donors as a critical part of mission-driven work - Highly organized, with outstanding attention to detail - Experience using donor databases like Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, etc. Not sure if you meet all the qualifications?
