Duties Bathe and groom pets according to established standards and procedures. Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions. Brush and comb fur to remove tangles, mats, and loose hair. Trim nails, clean ears, and express anal glands as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area and grooming tools. Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming. Communicate with pet owners upon drop off regarding their pet's needs and any observations made during grooming sessions. Assist in managing the flow of pets in the grooming area to ensure efficiency. Qualifications Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as animal handling, or pet care is preferred. Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members. Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends (Saturdays).
