Job Description Job Title: Machine / Filler Operator Job Description The Machine / Filler Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of beverage filling and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are accurately filled, properly packaged, and consistently meet all quality, food safety, and production standards. The operator monitors equipment performance, performs routine adjustments and changeovers, completes required documentation, and collaborates closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Responsibilities • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot beverage filling and packaging equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production., • Ensure products are filled to specification and meet established quality standards, including accurate fill levels and proper packaging., • Perform equipment set-ups, changeovers, and adjustments in accordance with production schedules and product requirements., • Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and promptly report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel., • Monitor product quality, including fill levels, cap integrity, labeling accuracy, and overall packaging appearance., • Complete required production records, quality checks, and inventory documentation with accuracy and attention to detail., • Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and company policies at all times., • Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of filling equipment and surrounding work areas to support food safety and product quality., • Follow all safety procedures and consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)., • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing production efficiency and reducing waste., • Support other production operations and tasks as assigned to ensure smooth overall plant operations., • Handle pallets and materials safely and efficiently as part of the production and packaging process., • Work collaboratively with inventory, shipping, and receiving functions to support accurate product flow and inventory control. Essential Skills • Proven ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot beverage filling and packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment., • Experience working as a machine operator or filler operator with responsibility for production equipment., • Strong understanding of basic quality control principles, including visual inspection and measurement of fill levels, packaging, and labeling., • Ability to perform equipment set-ups, changeovers, and routine adjustments with minimal supervision., • Competence in completing production records, quality checks, and inventory documentation accurately and legibly., • Knowledge of and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards., • Ability to follow established safety procedures and consistently use required PPE., • Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and respond to equipment performance issues., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts in a production or warehouse setting., • Ability to safely move and stage pallets and materials to support production and packaging operations., • Experience in inventory, shipping and receiving, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment., • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices focused on efficiency and waste reduction., • Comfort working in a cold manufacturing environment and maintaining productivity under changing conditions. Team members should be comfortable working on their feet, adapting to changing production schedules, and collaborating closely with production, maintenance, and inventory functions in a structured, process-driven setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Del Rey, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
