    🌟 Immediate opening — Join a beloved 30+ year Montessori program Status: Full-time (40 hrs/week) Compensation: $17–24/hour (annualized $35,360–$49,920 depending on education and experience) Start Date: Immediately or January 5, 2026 Location: 107 Adamsdale Rd, North Attleboro, MA (home-based Montessori preschool) About Circle of Friends Circle of Friends is a home-based Montessori preschool in North Attleboro, MA. Since 1991, the school has focused on each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a loving family-home environment. We serve children ages 5 months to 6 years old with both toddler and preschool/kindergarten spaces, plus a beautiful outdoor classroom featuring gardens, a living dome, and nature-based learning. The Role We're hiring a Lead Teacher to guide a Montessori classroom and work closely with founder Michelle Landry on daily operations and family communications. You'll model Montessori practice, maintain a beautiful, orderly environment, and partner with families to help children thrive. What makes this role special: This is a unique opportunity to work in an intimate, home-based environment where you'll have real classroom responsibility, direct daily experience with children, and personalized mentorship from Michelle—an experienced Montessori educator with over 30 years of practice. You'll gain hands-on expertise in authentic Montessori methods while contributing meaningfully to a close-knit school community. Key Responsibilities • Lead the classroom using authentic Montessori principles: observe each child daily, individualize work cycles, give lessons, and support uninterrupted concentration., • Prepare and maintain the environment: curate shelves and materials; ensure readiness, order, and aesthetics; rotate works aligned to children's development., • Assist Michelle with day-to-day school operations including parent updates, scheduling, admissions support, supply management, and event coordination., • Ensure care and safety: supervise indoor/outdoor play; support toileting and self-care with dignity; uphold EEC health and safety procedures., • Partner with families: conduct warm handoffs, progress updates, and parent check-ins to build trusting relationships., • Maintain compliance and professionalism: follow school policies and MA EEC licensing requirements; complete trainings; model inclusive, respectful conduct. You're a great fit if... • You're drawn to authentic Montessori practice in an intimate, home-based setting, • You value deep observation and individualized learning over scripted curriculum, • You're a warm, calm presence with strong observation, classroom management, and communication skills, • You have some background in early childhood education or childcare experience (required); Montessori training or certification is a plus but not required, • You're comfortable collaborating in a small setting and taking initiative with daily needs, • You pass required background checks Schedule & Pay • Full-time, 40 hours/week, • Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm or 8am–4pm, with a 30-minute lunch break included, • $17–24/hour, commensurate with experience and credentials (approx. $35–50k annualized) Benefits & Time Off • Paid vacation: 1 week after one year; 2 weeks after two years, • Paid professional development hours for training and conferences, • 30-minute daily lunch break (bring your own lunch), • Year-round programming with unpaid time off including 2 weeks at Christmas, plus other school breaks and summer weeks, • Montessori training and certification covered, • Annual conference attendance covered, • Ongoing mentorship and training from Michelle, • Significant opportunity for increased responsibility — Michelle is looking to gradually step back from daily operations, creating a pathway for the right person to eventually help run or take over the program long-term Equal Opportunity Statement Circle of Friends welcomes all families and staff.
