Job DescriptionJob Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift Job Description This 2nd shift Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician role plays a critical part in keeping a wide range of production machinery and support equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform both preventative and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance on industrial equipment such as saws, cutters, sanders, dust collectors, molders, CNC machines, conveyors, motors, pumps, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, pneumatic nailers, and air compressors. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment, including saws, cutters, sanders, dust collectors, molders, CNC machines, conveyors, motors, pumps, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pneumatic nailers, and air compressors., • Carry out reactive maintenance to quickly and effectively diagnose and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency., • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and pumps, using appropriate tools and methods., • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, following all safety standards and best practices., • Use lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, voltmeters, and electrical schematics to safely and accurately identify and resolve electrical problems., • Perform basic PLC troubleshooting as needed to support equipment reliability and uptime., • Follow established maintenance schedules, document work performed, and communicate equipment status to supervisors and production teams., • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and production staff to prioritize work, solve complex problems, and support continuous improvement., • Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements., • Apply strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality when completing repairs and maintenance tasks., • Support training and knowledge sharing with other technicians and line personnel when needed to build overall team capability.Essential Skills, • At least 3+ years of industrial multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment., • At least 3+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and pumps., • At least 3+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience with systems up to 480V 3-phase., • Proficiency using lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work on electrical and mechanical equipment., • Ability to use a voltmeter and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and repair electrical issues., • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting., • Ability to work effectively on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with clear, consistent communication., • Reliable work habits with a history of strong attendance and stable work tenure., • High level of attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to quality workmanship.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • PLC troubleshooting skills are preferred and considered a strong plus., • HVAC experience is beneficial and highly valued., • Ability and willingness to train, mentor, and teach line technicians and other team members., • Interest in continuous learning and developing broader multi-craft maintenance skills., • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a cabinet manufacturing facility with a hands-on, industrial work environment. Certain areas can be dusty, and some zones may have strong acetone or paint odors due to production processes. You will work in a tight-knit maintenance department that brings together a variety of skill sets and emphasizes sharing knowledge, cross-training, and developing others. The team culture is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on promoting from within and providing clear paths for advancement. The position is a full-time 2nd shift role, Monday through Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and includes a shift premium for working this schedule. Standard industrial safety practices apply, and you will use typical maintenance tools and equipment provided by the company while adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goshen, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
