21 Plus is looking for a Group Home Assistant to assist with the overall health and wellbeing of Individuals in our Residential Group Homes. The Group Home Assistant (GHA) is responsible for providing routine care and supervision, training and opportunities for growth to individuals in our group homes. GHA’s are also responsible for assisting the management team and supervisory personnel in the implementation of quality programs in the group home by working cooperatively under assigned duties and reporting critical information to a supervisor in accordance with established procedures. Upholds agency and licensing regulations. Job Responsibilities: · Shares responsibility for the efficient operation and quality of the group home by working cooperatively with supervisors to maintain a positive environment in the residential program. · Maximizing opportunities for community inclusion; assisting in the development of community resources that meet the needs, interests and abilities of individuals. · Interacting with individuals and relevant others on a scheduled and on an as needed basis to review progress; focusing supports on person-centered planning. · Assist the Program Administrator in direct care responsibilities by assuming responsibility for accurately recording participant's activities in the ECR (Electronic Care Record) as well as on Activity Reports · Assumes responsibility for providing individuals with care, supervision or training in personal care, grooming and dressing properly for activities and weather conditions, as well as household chores and activities. · Assumes responsibility for the health and safety of program individuals, which includes reporting, monitoring, handling medical/professional treatment if needed and responding to emergency situations · Upholds agency and licensing regulations by observing agency reporting procedures for unusual incidents and use of On-Call supervisor. · You must be able to pass all background checks including Drug screen, physical, PPD, fingerprints, DMV. Qualifications: · Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid NJ Driver’s License with an acceptable record of safe driving · High School Diploma / GED (verifiable) · Must have good verbal and written communication skills. · Basic computer skills required. · Comfortable with assisting individuals with hygiene and medical routines. · Able to lawfully and safely drive an agency vehicle in all traffic situations and weather conditions. · Exhibits ability to think quickly and act calmly in emergency. · Must be able to successfully complete all required training in the required time allotted.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the meticulous handling and documentation of incoming samples. This includes inspecting and verifying the condition and labeling of samples upon arrival and accurately recording all necessary information in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You'll receive comprehensive training on good documentation practices, efficient sample receiving procedures, and LIMS utilization. To succeed, you'll need superior attention to detail, proficiency in email, internet usage, and general computer skills. This position requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing and the ability to empty, lift, or move heavy coolers. Punctuality and being a strong team player are also a must. Our lab's hours can vary based on sample arrival times, workload, and seasonal factors. This is a full-time, 30-hour-per-week position. You should be prepared for 9-10 hour shifts, 1-2 days per week during high-volume periods, to ensure all samples are processed efficiently and accurately. This position is eligible for overtime. Responsibilities: Pre-log samples from the start of the day, pickups from client sampling, and walk-ins Unpack shipments and document receipt of samples. Organize samples and record them on arrival. Enter client data into LIMS. Recording client number, requested turnaround time, and payment information. Collecting and packing bottle orders for clients. Sample Bottle numbering and bottle refrigeration Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping Handle interactions with walk-in clients Skills: The required skills for this position are essential for daily operations in a fast-paced environment. Occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds is necessary for handling samples, while a willingness to learn new techniques ensures adaptability to evolving processes. Proficient computer knowledge is utilized for accurate data entry and record-keeping, which is critical for tracking sample status. Autonomy and self-motivation are important as the technician will often work independently, yet a team player attitude is vital for effective collaboration with colleagues. Acute attention to detail and multitasking abilities enable the sample receiving technician to manage multiple samples efficiently while maintaining high standards of reliability and punctuality.
