The Little Ferns Nature Teacher works collaboratively with the LFNP Director and other LFNP Teachers to facilitate child-centered play and learning with nature. The LFNP Teacher promotes best practices of a nature-based early childhood program at the Weinberg Nature Center (Scarsdale, NY). The LFNP Teacher is responsible for a regular teaching schedule, ongoing and collaborative curriculum and education philosophy development, student safety, risk management, outdoor site assessments, and student behavior. The LFNP Teacher helps nurture student growth, and supports the LFNP Director in parent/teacher conferences and family communication, LFNP special events and hikes, and LFNP files and documentation. A member of the LFNP Education Team, the LFNP Teacher plays a supporting role in maintaining all outdoor and indoor classroom spaces.
