Compliance & People Operations Manager Location: Tenerife, Canary Islands (Remote) Employment Type: Full Time. IMPORTANT LOCATION REQUIREMENT: This is a remote-first role with periodic in-person meetings and collaboration in Tenerife. Candidates already based in Tenerife or the Canary Islands will be given strong preference. Applicants planning to relocate to Tenerife within the next 3–6 months are also encouraged to apply. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Compliance & People Operations Manager to help strengthen our compliance framework, support our international team, and build scalable internal processes. About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Compliance & People Operations Manager to oversee our compliance initiatives and support key people operations across our international business. This role combines responsibility for compliance programs including SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001 readiness, policy management, audit preparation, vendor compliance reviews, and security awareness initiatives, while also supporting employee onboarding, training, documentation, and people operations processes. You will work closely with leadership, operations, technology teams, customer support teams, and external partners to ensure compliance requirements are met and internal processes continue to scale effectively. Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance & Governance • Manage and maintain compliance programs including SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001 readiness, and related initiatives, • Coordinate audits, evidence collection, control monitoring, and remediation activities, • Administer compliance platforms such as Drata and maintain supporting documentation, • Maintain company policies, procedures, and review schedules, • Coordinate vendor due diligence, security reviews, and compliance questionnaires, • Support risk assessments and compliance reporting activities, • Track compliance obligations and ensure timely completion of required actions, • Coordinate security awareness and compliance training programs, • Work with internal teams to ensure controls are operating effectively, • Serve as a key point of coordination for compliance-related projects and audits People Operations • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, • Coordinate employee training, certifications, and policy acknowledgements, • Maintain employee records and operational documentation, • Support recruitment coordination and hiring administration, • Assist managers with employee lifecycle processes and internal procedures, • Help improve internal documentation, workflows, and operational processes, • Support employee engagement and communication initiatives, • Partner with leadership to build scalable people operations as the company grows RequirementsRequired • 3+ years of experience in Compliance, People Operations, HR Operations, Risk Management, Security, Operations, or a related field, • Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar, • Strong organizational and project management skills, • Excellent documentation and communication abilities, • Experience coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders, • Strong attention to detail and follow-through, • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, • Fluent written and spoken English Preferred • Experience with Drata, Vanta, Secureframe, or similar compliance platforms, • Experience supporting audits or certification programs, • Experience working in SaaS, technology, travel technology, fintech, or similar industries, • Experience supporting distributed or international teams, • Experience building and improving internal processes within growing companies, • Based in Tenerife or the Canary Islands, or willing to work primarily aligned with Canary Islands/CET business hours What We're Looking For You are: • Highly organized and process-driven, • Detail-oriented and proactive, • Comfortable working across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Leadership teams, • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, • Passionate about improving processes and maintaining high standards, • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, • Excited by the opportunity to help build and scale a growing international business What We Offer • Fully remote position, • Flexible working environment, • Opportunity to work with international teams and partners, • Exposure across compliance, operations, technology, and people functions, • Career growth opportunities as the company continues to scale, • Competitive compensation based on experience How to Apply Please apply through LinkedIn and include your CV along with a brief summary outlining: • Your experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar, • Your experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or employee lifecycle management, • Any experience with compliance platforms such as Drata, Vanta, or Secureframe, • Why you believe you would be a good fit for this role We look forward to hearing from you.
