Role Summary The SAP BTP Integration Lead defines, designs, governs, and ensures the delivery of enterprise grade integration solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services. Acting as a bridge across functional, technical, and architectural domains, this role drives seamless data flow, interoperability, and alignment with the enterprise integration strategy. You will own the enterprise integration roadmap, define standards and reference architectures, and lead integration delivery across large transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and IT strategy. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Architecture • Own and evolve the Enterprise Integration Strategy leveraging SAP BTP (e.g., SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, Open Connectors)., • Define reference architectures, integration patterns (event-driven, API-led, batch/real-time), and guardrails for SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-Non-SAP integrations., • Establish canonical data models and integration domains, ensuring consistency across IDoc, OData/REST, SOAP/WSDL, EDIFACT/X12, GraphQL (where used), and event streams., • Lead architecture reviews and provide design authority for projects impacting the integration landscape (ERP, CRM, ecommerce, data platforms, logistics, finance)., • Governance & Standards, • Create and enforce integration standards, naming/versioning conventions, security policies, and documentation (design specs, interface catalogs, runbooks)., • Run the integration governance forums (e.g., design review boards), aligning with change control (CRs), release management, and audit/compliance requirements (e.g., SoD, data protection)., • Lead end-to-end delivery of integration work across programs/waves: estimation, planning, resourcing, sequencing, and risk management., • Provide hands-on and oversight for BTP Integration Suite developments (iFlows, APIs, mappings, routing, orchestration), including PI/PO to Cloud Integration migration where applicable., • Ensure integrations meet nonfunctional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security), and pass quality gates (code reviews, automated tests, performance tests)., • Own the lifecycle of integration platforms: BTP subaccounts, entitlements, transport/deployment (CTS+/gCTS/CI/CD), and environment strategy (dev/test/uat/prod)., • Implement and optimize monitoring & alerting using BTP tooling, SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager (where used), and SIEM integrations., • Drive continuous improvement: error reduction, incident trend analysis, tech debt remediation, and cost optimization (entitlements, message volume, egress)., • Partner with Security to implement Zero Trust principles: OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, JWT, IP allowlisting, rate limiting, API throttling, key/secret management., • Govern identity and access (BTP roles/collections, IAS/IPS, Principal Propagation) and data protection (PII handling, encryption at rest/in transit)., • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external audits, maintaining full traceability (design decisions, test evidence, approvals, deployment logs)., • Stakeholder Management & Enablement, • Serve as the primary integration point of contact for business and IT stakeholders, providing clear roadmaps, status, risks, and decisions., • Coach and mentor integration engineers; uplift delivery through playbooks, templates, reusable assets, and training., • Manage vendor/SI engagements, ensuring deliverables meet enterprise standards and timelines. Qualifications • Masters Degree, • SAP Certified Associate – SAP BTP Solution Architect, • SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Integration Suite, • Other: Project Management & IT Experience • 8–10 years of experience in IT integration roles, • 5 years of experience with SAP S4/HANA (Public Cloud preferred), • Proven integration experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Teamcenter (PLM), Hybris, legacy ERPs, and iPaaS tools (e.g., Boomi), • Experience delivering integrations in large-scale transformation programs
