We support international collaborative R&D projects in maximising their impact through strategic project management, high-quality communication, dissemination, exploitation and tailored stakeholder engagement. We co-design and implement citizen and stakeholder engagement strategies, facilitate participatory and co-creative processes, and design interactive workshops, events and sessions that support visioning, roadmapping and foresight. Our work often combines strategic thinking with artistic, visual and creative methodologies to foster meaningful participation and gather valuable insights from diverse audiences. We also develop communication and outreach strategies to raise awareness, strengthen connections with key stakeholders and maximise the impact, visibility and uptake of project activities and results. We are looking for a Communication & Engagement Project Manager to join our team in Barcelona. This position is suitable for someone with 1–3 years of relevant experience who is ready to take on coordination responsibilities with a high degree of autonomy. The selected person should be able to organise and follow up on tasks, coordinate internal and external contributors, keep track of deadlines and move work forward independently, while knowing when to ask for support or escalate decisions. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR, We would like the person joining our team to have: • 1–3 years of relevant experience in communication-related project management, corporate communication management, stakeholder engagement, research and innovation projects, consultancy or similar environments., • Experience working on engagement-focused activities within projects or projects with a strong communication component, ideally involving different contributors, deadlines and client or stakeholder interactions., • Strong coordination skills, with the ability to organise tasks, clarify responsibilities, follow up with different contributors and ensure that work progresses according to agreed timelines., • A high degree of autonomy and reliability, with the ability to manage day-to-day work independently., • Ability to coordinate with internal and external contributors, including communication specialists, content creators, designers, consultants, project partners, researchers, suppliers and/or subcontractors., • Comfort participating in client, project or stakeholder meetings, with the ability to listen, identify key points, ask useful questions and translate conversations into clear next steps., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare agendas, minutes, briefs, presentations, reports and project documents., • Interest in stakeholder engagement, co-creation, participatory processes, workshops, events, science communication or communication with social impact., • Good judgement, critical thinking and willingness to understand the strategic dimension of complex projects., • A proactive and problem-solving attitude, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously while remaining a strong team player., • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish. Catalan and other EU languages will be considered an asset., • Fluency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with project management or collaborative tools will be valued. ADDITIONAL ASSETS The following aspects will be considered an asset, although they are not mandatory: • Knowledge of EU-funded projects or international research and innovation projects., • Previous experience in environments related to scientific communication, corporate communication, PM, research, innovation, stakeholder engagement or communication with social impact., • Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Trello, Monday, MS Project or similar., • Interest in design, storytelling, audiovisual communication, public engagement, participatory processes, co-creation or communication with social impact., • Experience supporting workshops, events, stakeholder consultations, co-creation sessions or participatory activities., • Availability to travel occasionally, if required. INITIAL TASKS The selected person will support the coordination and monitoring of projects with a strong presence of communication, dissemination, and engagement-related tasks, reporting to the company directors or project leads. Initial tasks may include: • Coordinating projects with a strong communication component across their different phases, ensuring that objectives, timelines, responsibilities and outputs are clear., • Managing the day-to-day follow-up of tasks, deadlines, milestones, deliverables and communication materials, ensuring that priorities are clear and work moves forward., • Coordinating internal and external contributors, including communication specialists, content creators, designers, consultants, project partners, suppliers and subcontractors., • Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, partners, suppliers and other external stakeholders, escalating issues to the company directors or project leads when needed., • Preparing and following up on meetings, including agendas, minutes, action points and next steps., • Translating client, partner or project needs into internal briefs for content, design, audiovisual, engagement or strategy teams., • Supporting the implementation of communication strategies, dissemination plans, stakeholder engagement actions and campaign materials defined within each project., • Coordinating the production of communication materials such as presentations, reports, visual assets, web content, social media content, videos, newsletters or event materials., • Supporting the preparation, drafting and review of project deliverables, reports, presentations, workshop materials and client-facing documents., • Supporting stakeholder engagement, co-creation, workshops, events or participatory activities when relevant., • Managing project documentation, templates, shared folders and internal procedures., • Supporting proper project closure, including final deliverables, lessons learned, documentation and collection of client feedback when relevant.
